If you get them on just right it works fine. She has awakened several times to find either her watch or phone wasn’t charged.

watch charger slightly too short

Otherwise so far so good.

Hard to get both AirPods and phone to charge

The problem I have is getting the phone to charge next to the AirPods. Unless the phone is place in exactly the right way, it does not charge. I've almost given up getting everything to charge at the same time. I have, less often, had trouble getting my watch to charge (three or four times over the past month the watch get little charge - perhaps it was not fully seated against the charger. It is still better than multiple cables, and fits well on the nightstand.
