Good rower, tablet can be difficult to navigate.

I thought the tablet that it came with would be a nice feature. It can be difficult to navigate and I find myself spending too much time looking for a workout program to use(more of a software or program issue than hardware the tablet works fine). It really needs to be simplified. I like that it syncs with the rower so it automatically adjusts setting during your row (benefit of using the tablet and not just rowing) rower itself works great and have had no issues with functionality.

the machine is very quiet for a piece of gym equipment, thanks to the use of magnetic resistance rather than fan/air resistance. Not sure why they attached cheap plastic foot rests on the foot pads. I guess the main purpose is to rest your heal on but seems like they could have made this out of better material. They just seem like they will likely break at some point.

Bought this item for my father-in-law. It gets used daily and works just as well as the day we purchased it for him. I purchased the RW200 for myself, but this rower far exceeds the 200. I’d recommend this model before the 200.

I like the rower, set was easy enough and I have not had any issues with the rower itself. The tablet that came with the rower is not the highest quality, if as going buy this again I would by the bad egg l with no tablet and purchase one separately. I have been using iFit and it makes towing in the basement more enjoyable

    Fly wheel issues

I purchased this rower January 3rd and Best Buy was able to deliver it the next day! That’s great. Assembly was fairly easy and didn’t take very long. After assembling the rower I sat down to test it out. On the first pull I could tell that something wasn’t working correctly. There was a very loud and pronounced thumping sound coming from inside the unit every time I pulled. The trouble-shooting guide in the manual wasn’t any help. The FAQs on NordicTrack’s support website also weren’t much of a help. On January 9th I emailed NordicTrack support and told them about my problem and included a video of the issue. They emailed me back a few days later asking me to register the rower and included a link to a video showing how to remove the shield around the flywheel. I removed the shield and could easily see that the right fly wheel was either warped or out of balance. I registered the machine, took another video of the very wobbly wheel, and emailed them and asked them to fix it. 7 days passed and I got no response from NordicTrack. I emailed again saying that I needed a response asap or I would be returning the machine. After 2 more days of no response I hauled it back to Best Buy for a return. The machine is fairly heavy and was definitely not easy hauling up the narrow steps of my basement by myself. I would have much rather NordicTrack just offered to fix it, but apparently they don’t care that much about customer serviced. I’m just glad I was still in the return window to bring it back to Best Buy. For their part, Best Buy took back the rower without any fuss.

NordicTrack Rower is just what I was looking for. This has the iFit program on the tablet which has the teacher led workouts as well as the nature views. It has things that multiple people would like. It is quiet enough to not disturb people in the next room and you can still have a conversation while using the machine. Best Buy was able to beat the price direct from NordicTrack and the delivery was friendly and Covid 19 safe.

Love the machine and the workouts. My only issue is after a month, the seat makes a loud noise as you move back and forth, as if it's off the tracks. It appears to be in properly but continues to make a loud clicking noise.

    Great Rower

There are a lot of great things with this rower. Best Buy purchase and delivery was fantastic. Far better than other options. The rower works great so far. It is mostly preassembled. Getting it out of the box is perhaps the only hard part, but other than that you are mainly just securing the front legs, hooking on the seat, and finally the console and tablet holder. Not too bad in all. It is a little under half the cost of the top model from Nordictrack, and the only downside is that it doesn't have a large display. This is about the cheapest model you can get and have a card with 1 year of iFit included. Cons: The most notable con to this is that the entire iFit experience requires a tablet. Luckily, they do include a tablet, but it is a very cheap tablet with terrible speakers. The rower is not very loud, but the speakers are still too quiet to be heard over it. The charger gets very hot, and the battery life is not good. Theres not actually an AUX speaker cable included to hook it up to the rower. Furthermore, when you launch the iFit software on this tablet or just your own phone or iPad, it is a little less seemless than one might hope, as you need to resync it ever time. I do not think this should be a reason to avoid this rower, just wanted to give a realistic expectation. The iFit classes themself are pretty good, and if you hook it a good tablet or phone, it is really nice to have as it helps push you to keep a good pace, if nothing else. Conclusion: This is a great rower option for the price. It feels well made, easy to assemble, and Best Buy was definitely the best place to buy from. (Other options have very slow or expensive delivery.) Included iFit and tablet are nice to have in this price range, but I wouldn't set you expectations for it too high.

We have had this rower for almost 4 weeks now and I enjoy working out with it. The seat glides easily and the quality of the construction is solid. I did notice that the arm for the screen is a little crooked but I don't know if that was just me not installing it correctly. I wish I had purchased the next model up with the "built in" screen. While the RW 500 provides a tablet to use, it runs on a separate charger. Unfortunately, twice I've sat down to workout and the tablet was low on power. I wish I spent the extra $600 or that Best Buy offered the RW 700, which is only $300 more. I didn't think i would care for the iFit app but it is definitely worth the price, Free!!! Well at least the 1st year. It keeps motivated and focus during workouts.. Overall, I love using this machine but I wish I splurged a little more to buy the next model up.

    Banks Bad Rower

I purchased the rower in early December as a Christmas gift for our home exercise room. I assembled the rower shortly after Christmas and, during assembly, I noted some damage to the plastic housing around the rower strap assembly. I completed the assembly per the instruction booklet and when I initiated rowing strokes the powered up console failed to register properly. I contacted Nordictrak and was told to adjust the “reed” switch which I did to no avail. The tech I was speaking to then told me the console was bad and a new one would be sent. It arrived about a week later and, after installing it, still no proper operation. Another call to the tech department found me video chatting with a tech who could observe the console while I rower. Her finding was that a new”reed” switch was needed and it is “in the mail”. We shall see after the replacement switch arrives and is installed.

Solid machine for a fair price. Setup was easy and so far the workouts have gone well. Only reason it’s not 5 stars is because the tablet holder was broken out of the box. Waiting for the replacement.

The machine itself is a lot less comfortable than a Concept2. It comes with a tablet to use the ifit subscription that comes with the machine, but it won’t actually load workouts despite being fully up to date. The resistance doesn’t go very high, and the lower end of the resistance is VERY easy. I’d probably recommend skipping this machine for what it costs. It’s not much more for a better machine.

We’re sorry the tablet included with this unit is not loading workouts quickly and that the resistance seems too low on this rower.

Please ensure that your WiFi connection is stable while uploading workouts. If this remains a problem, we would like you to contact us for more assistance.

This resistance issue is not typical for this machine’s design. We would like to help you get the resistance adjusted for correct performance levels.

Great rower! Very happy with this purchase. For those that may be curious the box easily fits in a mid-sized SUV with seats down. Easy to use and easy to assemble. Tablet mount fits standard tablets great for watching your own content while working out. Preset workouts are all I have used so far but it comes with a year of iFit through Nordictrack.

This machine is exactly what I wanted and expected. It was easy to setup and I have put some time in on it. Also, the Android tablet is included in the price. It does not say that in the specs, but it was in the box. I have also enjoyed the iFit membership they include for 1 year, at a >$400 value that makes the cost of this machine worth it. Let's get rowing!
