I did a lot of reading up on this Norelco trimmer and also did read several reviews for similar products. I was able to purchase this Norelco package (trimmer and grooming kit w/ travel case) on sale around Christmas time at Best Buy. BB's sale price for the package was way cheaper than a local store's sale price for the trimmer alone. I figured it was worth taking a chance based on the reviews I read. Simply put it gets the job done. Nothing spectacular, but it does what it's supposed to do. Yes, I had to go back over some areas a couple of times, but it's not a major problem (or even a minor inconvenience). Not trying to be gross, but I was actually pretty surprised at how much hair I had in my nose! I had always used scissors or the trimmer part of my Norelco electric razors to do my nose and around-the-ear trimming. Using this Norelco nose/ear trimmer showed me that I had way more hair in my nose than I realized. The other great benefit of using it is that I can breathe so much better now by getting all that hair out of my nose. I have allergies and asthma, and this makes a HUGE difference. The trimmer is quiet and has a nice design. This Norelco trimmer is water resistant, so it's super easy to clean by running it under water (I use the sprayer thing from the kitchen sink to give it a little more pressure to clean off better). Not all models of nose/ear trimmers are water resistant, and it seems like having the water option would be way more convenient and effective than the non-water alternative. The travel case and grooming items (scissors, nail clipper, etc.) are nice additions for the price. Not sure that I'll necessarily ever need to use the other items, but it's nice to have them just in case. Enjoy! Matthew 7:12

There are two tyes of Nose and Ear clippers. The first type that never worked for me has a horizontal cutting blade. The second type which I just bought from Best Buy has a vertical blade. This design makes the most sense because nose hairs grow around the inside of your nose. They don't grow straight down from your sinus cavity. The vertical comb like cutting blade allows you to simply place the cutting blade in your nose and slowly spin it around your nose cavity. It gently cuts the hair growing around your nose safely. Remember as I stated previously, the horizontal design does nothing because the hair grows around the inside of your nose, not straight down. So I'm very happy with this clipper. I said Customer service sealed the deal because I had a problem picking the clipper up at the store it was delivered to. I used to work in South Philadelphia so I picked a store close to my work place to pick up the clipper . I changed jobs and since I now worked and live in New Jersey driving to Philly was no longer an option. I called Best Buy customer service and explained the situation and was greeted by one of the nicest customer service rep I ever had the pleasure of working with. What could of been a problem was solved quickly and I hung up knowing that I would be buying from Best Buy again. I hope this helps you. I had to learn by trial and error. By the time I found what works and the reason why it works, my nose hairs were down to my chin. Just kidding, I'm a well groomed man that takes my appearance very seriously. the kit comes in a quality zippered case. Inside the tools are secured by individual retainers. The trimmer is excellent. It removes hair easily and without pulling especially well in hard to reach places. the nail clipper folds up in a well designed action. I am well satisfied with this purchase!

The review summary says it all. I've tried several different types of trimmers and have been sorely disappointed by them all. Thanks Norelco for making something that works very well and is very versatile. It is so quiet that when I use it in my ears, I can still hear when I'm done. Love it!!

Overall, the groomer and kit are okay. It's advertised as a nose hair trimmer, but it doesn't do that task. One, the blade of the trimmer is only on one side, so you have to twist it around in order to attempt to get all around in the nose. Second, the trimmer moves from side to side, which makes it hard to trim up in the nose. It's not effective compared to other trimmers where the blade spins around. The grooming kit isn't all that special. It includes your typical tools that normal ones have. But they are made of a better quality than others, which is a plus. Don't buy this if you're looking for a nose trimmer! It works more like a razor.

Works great! Does everything you would expect to trim beards and small enough to travel with no problem.

I got it on sale - for $10. Openly, I wouldn't pay for it more than that. It does its job, but not in level expected from Philips - I used other renown brand just recently, and it worked even neater.

In short, it does what it says. Have never been nicked or cut and have used it for a number of months now without having to change the battery. Cleaning and maintenance is easy.

I bought three of these. The only problem with the kit is the nail clippers are hard to close after opening. The groomer works well.

This little trimmer does it all. It has two attachments for eyebrows, so if you like the thick or thin, your good. Without the guards, you can use the trimmer on other places to trim hair too. The blades do not get slowed down or clogged by hair like some of the other trimmers.

This is a great kit for nose, ear and eyebrow. It is also very compact. Great for traveling. Does a better job than the grooming scissor I used before. Much faster and safer.

The main part of the set is the hair trimmer. It's OK, but because there is a bit of a cap on the end of the blade, it's hard to reach the perimeter of the target area. The nail clipper is pretty bizarre. It unfolds in a Swiss Army knife sort of way, but you have to force it to get it into a usable position and then force it back to fold it up for the carrying case. Odd.

Works very well. All the products in this are very useful every day.

This is the very good trimmer for self care. Hairs are cut down to almost skin level without painful yanking or cuts. Could not be more satisfied with this great product. The facility of clean with water, is the best to preserve of damages.

I bought it for home use and works good. Case is perfect for travel.
