As good as the first. A new spin on movies. The characters were great.

I'm not sure what sucked more--Isla Fisher not present or chronically-bad Lizzy Caplan being cast in her place. This could have been a good sequel, but the story was awful, the villain laughable, and the cast simply showing up for a paycheck.

While the first film was bad in its own right, the follow up is just terrible. If you want to watch this as a popcorn flick, you're better off renting it or watching it with someone who already owns it.

When they went to the well again for this sequel, they poisoned the water. Poor performances rival a tired script. The attempt to be socially savvy falls flat. I wish I hadn't seen you...

Total dissapointment from the first movie, poorly written, lacks the character, and intrigue that made the first film enjoyable!.

I need to get into the store to return this defective dvd or exchange it but I cannot due to the virus.

The movie lacked cohesion. It did have a lot of energy and moved very quickly. Unfortunately wear it and move to was questionable.

The movie was awesome but the 4K disk kept freezing. I need to take it back to the store.

A sequel can never be the original, and rarely are they as good as the original as they are frequently made just to capitalize on the success of the first film. Here we have the same characters (minus Isla Fisher as Henley Reeves) from the first film doing what they, as the Horsemen, do. As we expect, their productions are elaborate, their illusions are grand, and their adventure is filled with twists that actually bring even more satisfaction to the original by adding another layer to a story that you thought you already knew. Also, the addition of Lizzy Caplan as Lula May was a bonus. Caplan is funny and delivers a performance that seems very natural for her. If they make another one it would be a mistake to not include Caplan. Ultimately, as a sequel, Now You See Me 2 delivers what one wants to see in a sequel and it does it with the right dose of humor, action, and adventure, and the ending is reasonably satisfying.

If you saw and enjoyed the first film. You'll love the 2nd. Everything is bigger, including the illusions and they expended the story. As you see in the box art they replaced the female horseman with a new one, long story short, she wanted out and the 'Eye' gave it to her. They picked up a new female member to balance out the group. While the film still focuses on illusions and magic while being promised real magic if they prove themselves. They do expand the story, the last film was a test and in this one they have to prove worthy. The film does have twist and turns, some that can't be guessed and recurring characters while still keeping the momentum of a chase film and being fun.

“Now You See Me 2” is more like a giddy piece of cheese from the ’80s, a chance to spend two more hours with characters we like, doing variations on the things that made us like them in the first place. The revisit, in this case, is well-earned, and fans of the original — as well as new converts — are likely to turn out in droves.

My husband and I have quite the movie collection and we have the first movie and we've seen this one in theater. When we saw this on the shelf at Best Buy, we knew we needed this one to add to our collection.

It was awesome, awesome, and more magically delicious than the first film. I will not lie. It was great to see the gang "re-appear" back on the stage and on movie screens across the world!

i loved the first movie they did, and i had reservations about the 2nd one but i am glad i bought it, it really surprised me. usually the spin offs are not that good this one was awesome.
