Creative, unique, bizarre, eclectic, exciting, funny, clever, sexy, brilliant, beautiful...these are words which come to mind when describing Nina Hagen and THIS album, Nunsexmonkrock, is one of her best. You will find a cool mix of eclectic rock, punk, opera, new age, humor, weirdness, poetry, bizarre voice talent, great songs and even a little Afro-German yodel-raggae. The album is sung in English and German and will grab you by your spine and jerk you clean out of your box. Nunsexmonkrock is not for the squeamish or for folks with limited musical tastes. This brilliant singer/songwriter, Nina Hagen, got kicked out of communist East Germany for her rebellious attitude towards art, music and life. Hagen is rebellious and innovative, but in a very playful and postive way. This album will have you dancing, laughing, and maybe standing with your mouth wide open in amazed disbelief. Your mind will be utterly blown in a good way. Wait 'til you hear "TV Glotzer" (TV gawker). I bought the album for that song alone and was delighted by the rest of it. But don't take my word for it.
