It does an excellent job at crushing ice and small grains such as oatmeal for the smooth and satisfying shake. It also does a splendid job at liquefying fresh herbs so that my grandchildren do not have to pick rings of onion and pepper out of their food. They simply enjoy their food without realizing the herbs and vegetables that have been incorporated into the meal
