Works well for neck massage.
I put a small heating pad on top of it. Batteries last for about 5-6 hours. I use rechargeable batteries.

Best massage pillow I've found. Purchased as gift for my mom. She loves it. Soft plush pillow with two speeds. She loves the on off switch. Some other pillows won't work unless you lean on it. She uses on her neck and her hip.
