I upgraded from a GTX 760, and it's a pretty noticeable improvement in performance. I can turn most games up to max settings (still below max on GTAV and Project Cars, more on that in a moment). Unexpectedly, the power consumption is significantly lower than the 760 and the card is slightly smaller, so I'd call this a win all around. Some of my favorite games are pretty poorly optimized, so I'm seeing graphical hitches and stutters still. This is most noticeable on GTA V, Project Cars, and Guild Wars 2. I have a 6700k, so I know that the CPU isn't the issue, and I don't have everything maxed out, although I keep the settings pretty high. I know this isn't the 1070's fault, but it's frustrating when I'm still seeing some consistency issues at 1080p gaming on 2-3 year old games with a card that is supposed to be such a powerhouse. I use the steam link quite a bit and, although the 1070 works well in this regard, the performance hit is really noticeable. I go from 150 fps in Doom at max settings and 1080p to between 45-55 fps over the steam link. It's playable, but it's a bit disappointing that there's such a drastic drop. I went out and purchased a very long HDMI chord and now I can game at full resolution without quality loss. I can only do this because my TV and PC are in the same room. Otherwise, I'd still use the steam link, but I was hoping for more from the 1070. This was the last step in preparing my computer for a VR set, so I'm excited, but I'm also curious to see how it stands up against more intensive games in that setting. Nitpicks aside, it's a great card and I don't regret the purchase at all. I'm hoping that these issues are ironed out over time.

This card is perhaps the best bang for the buck currently available. Especially when it is on sale. It's an amazing card that's very frugal with power consumption and it plays everything extremely well!

I prefer this reference card over the PNY brand cards that BestBuy stocks. This card has decent cooling that blows hot air outside your case instead of blowing it around inside your already warm computer case. Its overclockable using MSI afterburner utilities and it has great game performance.

Impressed by the performance, easily getting 4K@60FPS in everything I've tried. Runs cool and isn't a power hog.

BestBuy purchase for $436 (10% Disc). What a great video card. Fast, cool, and quiet(er) than most. Can easily hit 60FPS on any game with Ultra settings. Video editing lags are nonexistent.

This card can raise your FPS significantly. Arma just gained 20 frames with max settings. Bestbuy price matches. After extensive research, price wise, this card is better than the GTX1080.

This new generation of graphics cards are amazing, they run super cool and have amazing performance. I upgraded from a 960 OC 4GB and this new 1070 seems to pull less power, runs cooler, and I can't find a game that gives it a hard time yet. BattleField 1 are full graphics no program. Highly recommend this card for anyone wanting a graphics card that will do the job for the next 2-3 years without any issues. Originally I purchased this card to do some VR gaming, turns out VR is not for me at all, got very sick trying to use it. I kept the graphics card because I loved it so much, but returned the VR headset for a full refund.

I bought this card from my local Best Buy. I paid $399. I am very pleased with the performance of the 1070 Founders Edition. Amazing graphics, and VR ready. The only gpu I like more is the 1080 TI, which is an awesome card but also cost $700-$800. This is a lot of graphics card for $400 bucks. I would definitely recommend the 1070. Looks awesome too, with a metal case and led's lit up on the top. Looks and feels extremely well built, and I was blown away with the performance of this card. Nvidia seams to be setting the standard for gpu's. I'm excited to see what they come up with next!

This GPU provides maximum bang for buck. It is not only efficient in terms of its power draw, but can easily provide high FPS in 1440P newer PC games.

My previous graphics card was a Nvidia GTX 960 and my machine is a Dell Precision T5810 and I was having frame rate issues with Tom Clanceys "The Division " which is a very graphically demanding game. My 27" 1440p monitor was only able to get 25 FPS ! After watching the release event by Nvidia and looking at the specs the GTX1070 actually out preforms the all mighty Nvidia Titan which is a $1000 video card and the GTX1070 only uses a third of the power a Titan requires. After installing the GTX1070 I was able to get 116 FPS on ultra settings which is insane..! This card is a must buy!!!!!!!!!!!

The title says it all. Card was a good price it is a decent gaming card. Also very nice for watching 4k streaming. But it really truly shines at mining crypto coins. Zcash in particular. I have 3 of them and would not mind a fourth one.

I have waited a long time to finally be able to purchase GTX 1070 to replace my old GTX 680. Originally I was leaning towards the GTX 1060 6Gb, but I wanted a longer lasting fix than a quick fix so i save approx $100 more and now I am set for awhile. Best Buy is truly the best place to purchase this using all my reward certificates I have saved got this card for well under the lowest price on Amazon or any other site. I got the Founders Edition which is nice, but didn't include a free game which most other retailers include.

Upgraded from a 960 4GB OC - wow. Stock benchmarks (geekbench) 162k compared to 58k previous card (72k w/ OC). 4K gaming max settings the temperature never exceeds 70C and there is no lag at all. Noise levels definitely kick up with fan speed so a full-power quiet gaming experience isn't going to happen. The case is cooler with the linear air-flow as well. OC gets a stable 10% bump but really isn't needed. Too bad all the Bit Coin miners bought these all out because it's a perfect gamer's card.

This card is a sequel to the 970 and it shines in all categories. Comparative performance to a 980 with the price under $500. This card will play just about anything maxed out, and can be SLI'd to reach Titan Black specs (according to Linus Tech Tips YouTube channel). You won't be disappointed with the looks either. Nvidia's reference cards are top notch in design and performance.

Great card, solid build. Very aesthetically pleasing. Plays most games at the highest settings with 1080p resolution chosen. Seems to run very cool in my air-cooled midtower, so that's definitely another plus in the corner of the 1070. The only detractor, if you can call it one, is the $100 premium for this reference card when compared to the third party options that are now available for the same price or less with more features. In any case, great card. Would recommend.

I have had the 1070 for a year and a half without any issues. It runs games flawlessly, even with the 2500K bottlenecking its performance. Headache and hassle-free gaming enjoyment.

GTX 1070 founders is a well designed, good looking, fast graphics card. And Best Buy is currently one of the only places in the US selling this card at the MSRP. It is worlds faster than the GTX 1060 and only about 5% slower than uglier, cheesier, variants that cost 50% more. This model is also really good for SLI configurations as it vents outside the case. GTX 1070 SLI is faster than GTX 1080 Ti in many cases.
