Customers are saying

Customers admire the GeForce GTX 970 4GB GDDR5 PCI Express 3.0 Graphics Card's performance, graphics capabilities, and relatively quiet operation. Many appreciate its ease of installation and good price point, although some found the card's size to be a drawback. Concerns were also raised regarding the card's memory capacity and its effective use of available memory. Overall, the positive feedback on performance and ease of use outweighs the negative comments about size and memory limitations.

This is by far the most powerful graphics cards I've ever owned. I couldn't be any happier with it. I feel this model is a lot better value than the higher end nvidia model with negligible performance differences. I strongly recommend this to others who are looking for an amazing gaming experience.

I was very impressed by the performance using this! So far I have only tested it on Minecraft, GTA and Team Fortress. Having never had something like this before it's pretty amazing, but unfortunately I can't make any comparisons for the same reason. The only big downer at first was we needed to hunt down a Molex to 6 pin cable, and there was none in my town so we had to go to the next city if I didn't want to wait for one to be shipped here. The next thing is I am having some compatibility issues I think. I am using a Dell 21.5" IPS monitor as my main monitor, I'm aware the IPS monitors have a slightly slower frame rate. The issue I'm having is that when I drag windows across the IPS monitor, it leaves one of those trails until I unclick. One of the biggest issues I'm having is ever since I got this Graphics card, my monitors in general have been behaving oddly. The regular non IPS (dell 23" HD LED) monitor started getting burns in the right side, it hasn't happened again. Now the IPS monitor is getting odd burns and is a bit pixelated. So whether or not the issues are directly related to the graphics card, I personally don't know. I'm moving soon and my room mates are both extremely skilled in computer repair, so I'll have them look at it later. For now, I do think this is a great device I just need to sort out what to do with my monitors.

Not the best card in the world, but probably the best for the money I wanted to spend. I upgraded from a Gigabyte GeForce GTX 660 2GB. I am very pleased with the smoothness of games I thought I already had at full max, like Skyrim. Install was a snap, packaging was like new age origami, and the thing lights up on the inside... Overall, would recommend if on a medium budget.

Running three 1080p monitors at 5760x1080 resolution, and handles pretty much any game at medium to high settings. Bought a second one for SLI, and runs everything at that high resolution on max. Only reason it's not 5 stars is because nearly every aftermarket 970 (Asus, MSI, EVGA, etc) runs cooler due to better cooling; and also comes out of the factory overclocked, if you aren't interested in doing that yourself.

Perhaps there are better cards, but with less than a 4K screen, I can't see how more than this is needed. It does every game flawlessly, with very high frame rates and no stutter. Should be good for at least a few years to come.

it is great graphic card, not highest performance but works great. compair with GTX980, reasonable price and performance. if you still have extra money for GTX 980, go for it. GTX970 is the best quality for lower price.

I absolutely LOVED this card. It's performance is outstanding to this day. I wouldn't have recently replaced it with a GTX 1070 if not for running out of available VRAM in some demanding titles. If you are an enthusiast, the 4gb will limit your graphical setting options on some titles. I wish the 970 had 6gb of VRAM or more because this card has more to give than the available memory will allow. If you can SLI, the 970 will impress. I would recommend this card to anyone looking for a great price/performance ratio. If you are looking at other cards from this generation, the 970 should be at or near the top of your list.

This card replaced 2 crossfired AMD cards, I thought they were great, All game settings are on ultra and so far, no studdering, tearing, or other problems, just a crisp clear picture, great investment for gaming. This card also runs 4 monitors full time 3 x 27" LCDs and 1 samsung 1080p tv. The picture on the TV is far more amazing now than it ever was before on the AMDs. I was a bit surprised at how heavy the card is and its length. But, it fits and runs great! Windows 7 did the setup automatically, didn't have to load anything at all. Very easy!

This is super expensive but I guess you get what you pay for. I have never seen such awesome video quality before. All my games have maxed out graphics settings now. It even came with a free game. Make sure you have space in your tower for this card though. It is huge.

This card was used as an upgrade from a GTX 760. Games run much smoother now at the highest settings. Easy installation. Just make sure your bios is up to date when you install. By the way, it does not come with a SLI cable if you feel the need to double it up.

I studied many video cards. I was going for maximum compatibility not necessarily over clocking and all that. Best Buy was the only local place that had the Nvidia card available. Love the card plays metal gear phantom pain flawlessly and for hours at a time.

One of the highest end graphics cards you can find in-store at Best Buy. I Simply swapped this one out for my older Nvidia. (I also bought a better power supply to run this one, so keep that in mind). Such a great improvement! I'm very Pleased with this purchase.

Went from a R9 270x to this bad boy. OMG the upgrade is big time noticeable. Games run super smooth and my monitor just plain looks better. The color saturation is fantastik and the card is very quiet. It's a beast of a card and definitely shows in the quality craftsmanship used in making this AWESOME GPU. Thank you NVIDIA

Exceeded my expectations and improved the gaming experience a lot. The video card is quite large (physically), so make sure that you have adequate space on your mother board as well as capacity on your power supply, as the card requires external power.

Only buy this card if you really want the cooler that is on it. There are much cheaper 970s on the market. However, that being said, this one in my opinion is by far the best looking one there is. I have two of these cards and I couldn't be happier.

Excellent graphics for gaming. Major upgrade over a GTX 760. Purchased the card while overhauling a desktop. Using for over a month. Another point, the card from nVidia feels solid in build unlike cards from 3rd party manufacturers.
