Customers admire the GeForce GTX 980 4GB GDDR5 PCI Express 3.0 Graphics Card's high performance, excellent price-to-performance ratio, and ease of installation. Many appreciate the card's ability to deliver smooth gameplay at high frame rates and resolutions. However, some users note that the card can run warm and is quite large, requiring a spacious computer case. The cooling system is a point of concern for some customers.

Bought this card to upgrade from the GeoForce 560Ti because I was having problems with image rendering in Assassain's Creed Unity. Ordered it on line and got it at the store the next day. After needing to help the store clerk find my new card (that was hiding in plain sight), I took it home to install. I have an Alienware Auroa so the installation was easy. It took longer to reconnect peripheral devices than it did to install the card. It booted and self-installed without problems and the graphics are just amazing.

I'll start by saying that this card is a beast. If you are hoping to play games at 4k 60fps then go for the 980ti or even the Titan X. This generation is still not good at 4k gaming with a single card. I ended up returning this for the 980ti after I hit the 4gb frame buffer with GTA V not even close to maxed out and not running well at 1080p. So if you are looking for a good 1080p card then this is it. In a gen or two it will be nothing with HBM (high bandwidth memory) and advancing technologies. Good card for now.

I've always purchased the flagship graphics cards (9800 GTX, GTX 580, and GTX 780) and this one is the fastest and quietest card I own so far. You may not see too much difference upgrading from an GTX 780ti to this card but it runs cooler and uses less energy. It is a beautiful card with LED lighting. No complaints... even at this price... it is about $100 cheaper than older flagship cards intro prices

I've had this installed for a few days now and it's great! Runs super quiet, pulls less power than the previous generation top end card, and oh, yeah produces amazing video! Cranking games out to ultra with high frame rates is enough to make you sit and watch all the cinematics!

I bought this card when my 980ti went south, installation was quick and easy and there was minimal setup. Not as fast as the 980ti but not nearly as expensive. A very good bang for the buck video card.

Just like the summary says, this card has great performance, not one game I have runs under ultra, but some will debate the cost is worth it.

Powering a single HP 1080 monitor, I have not found a game in my library yet that I can't play at MAX resolution. This card is quieter then my older R9 and about 10X faster. Thinking of upgrading to dual so I can run triple 4k in the future.

A bit pricy, but it runs everything including the Witcher 3 at ultra and never drops below 60 fps. Also its pretty quiet so I don't have to turn the pc off to go to bed.

Bought this as a second 980 for SLI on my new computer build and it works perfectly... Consistent 60 FPS or more in every game I throw at it with all settings on Ultra... Very high Firestrike Ultra score even without OC...

Moving up from a GTX 770 was like night and day. Unless you're planning to game in 4K, the 980 barely breaks a sweat at 1080 60fps.
And speaking of breaking a sweat, the power consumption was a world of difference, too. The 770 fan could make some serious noise under only medium loads; the 980 is almost inaudible, even when being pushed.
