Customers are saying

Customers commend the GeForce RTX 3080 Ti 12GB GDDR6X for its exceptional gaming performance and impressive GPU capabilities, frequently praising the card's design and size suitability for various builds. However, some users note the high price point and elevated temperatures during operation, along with occasional fan noise and coil whine. While many appreciate the high resolution capabilities, potential buyers should be aware of these potential drawbacks.

Not enough ram for a high end card

Don't get this. I repeat, do not get this card. It's seemingly a good compromise on the 3090 with nearly identical performance but 12 gigs of ram is not enough for a high end card anymore. Even at 1440p you feel the bottleneck at higher settings and 4K settings have to be lowered and use FSR/DLSS for a high quality experience. I did not expect a near flagship card to become obsolete so fast but right now you'd be better off with anything else at this price point.

Not a great value, would have preferred to get a regular 3080 for nearly half the price. But in the current state of availability it's an awesome card.

Pretty happy overall it runs games very well and I am happy with the way it performs. Had a little bit of trouble with nvidia drivers and stuff when I first installed it but I eventually resolved it. I ended up waiting 19 hours outside a best buy to get this. 6 weeks later and I still am not sure if it was worth doing that to get a gpu.

Have been waiting a long time to be able to purchase one of the new 3000 series GPUs. Although I was hoping to spend a little less and get the 3080, I can't complain because I was able to purchase at least one of the cards for retail price. Thank you Best Buy for the new queue system that makes it easier to purchase these.

What can I say about this card that hasn’t been said in other reviews. It is absolutely insanely fast, even coming from a 2080ti. In a normal climate it would not be worth $1200, but given the gpu shortage I would argue this card is 100% worth it. Additionally, it’s performance is within 1% of the 3090 so that’s something.

I wanted the 3090 but they was soldout although I was lucky enough to buy this 3080ti. Games are incredible. wow.. My daughter and I are using a core x duo to hookup a lenovo laptop with thunderbolt to play Minecraft's RTX. I previously had the 3070 hooked via the same method and I found this card has noticable gains.

best video card.....just an absolute powerhouse. It doesn't come with any fan control, so after some tweaking with MSI Afterburner, I was able to test it out on Doom Eternal. Max settings on 1440p and it never left 165 FPS (what I set as max) , played for about 45 minutes. It's complete overkill, but I love it.

It took a long time to finally get my hands on one of these cards, but it is great. It is very close to the 3090 card as far as performance goes, but it only takes up 2 slots instead of 3. Something that may make a difference for those who want to maximize their gaming PC with a smaller tower.

If you had asked me two years ago if I would camp out at a store to drop $1200 without thinking twice about it, I would’ve called you crazy. But looking back, it was absolutely worth it. In fact, I had a great time camping out with fellow pc gamers. The memory gets way too hot so I recommend a thermal pad swap.

Obviously I love this graphics card I waited for over 16 hours over night outside of a best buy to get this card. But for the card anvils I’ll amazing performance temps with 100 percent utilization stay around 80 to 84 deportees for me. I don’t know if that’s fine or not but yea. Great product

Was lucky enough to be able to scoop one of these from Best Buy in July from an in-store event after camping out in the parking lot overnight. This thing has been a dream come true and no one other than Best Buy is selling them at MSRP. If you can get your hands on one, it's worth it.

This thing is absolutely insane. Had a 3070 but got lucky with an in store drop. I’ll be honest I wasn’t expecting a drastic difference, but man I’m glad I was proven wrong. This card has more than exceeded my expectations. Definitely worth getting if can find for retail.

10% slower than a 3090 for 60% of the price, is a fantastic value proposition, but overkill for current requirements, the card will last you 3-5 years easily and can comfortably play anything you throw at it! Absolutely would recommend.
