Love it! The best gpu I ever had! Don’t listen to the criticism about temperatures , it not even hitting 70c, And yes overclocked to above 2000mhz manual Very beautiful and esthetic quiet card and no doubt way better than all of this overpriced companies (asus msi etc..) Totally worth it at $1500

Awesome GPU but not the best value per dollar

I initially wanted an RTX3080 but got this 3090 GPU on impulse because it was such high in demand and I was able to click the buttons to buy at the right time. But if you must choose one, RTX3080 is the best bang for your money right now. There can be argument that the new AMDs are great but based on my research, it just seems like most creative softwares work better with NVIDIA cards. And I chose the founder's edition (FE) because it looks better, supposedly holds better value, and I am a strong believer that the component works better when NVIDIA designs the entire system. It also looks pretty cool in the computer case with the GEFORCE logo lighting up. The 3090 works very well. A lot of VRAM in 24 GBs. It really speeds up my video editing softwares and also helps with photo editing softwares too. It makes everything quick and seamless. It supports 4 monitors and the output looks very high quality. One HDMI slot and 3 Videoports. This GPU is very big and heavy though. When installed, it is like a paper thickness away from touching my CPU cooler. It takes up 3 slots behind the computer case but they are mainly for outlet vents in their new thermal design. The thermal design is very interesting. The only thing I am skeptical about is the way that one of the fans pulls warm air up into the CPU intake fans. But it hasn't been a major issue so far. Overall, this 3090 is a great GPU but it is about twice the price of the 3080 but it is FAR from twice the performance. This is based on all the benchmarks people have online. So, unless you need the best of the best, get the 3080.

After camping for months on Best Buy's site, and a lot of not making it thru checkout, I finally scored and no i didn't use a bot. Honestly its way more than I need. I really wanted a 3080 and would have settled for a 3070 but after using my old 1080 in my new rig crowned with a Ryzen 5800x I just didn't care and was happy to get a card at MSRP as I absolutely refuse to pay scalper scum and would have waited out this "shortage" otherwise. While pric The 3090 crushes all my games on ultra, practically zero bottleneck with my setup, though guess I'll have to upgrade from a 2k 144mhz monitor to a 4k to get full effect. While this purchase did not make my wife happy it certainly made my son happy as he received the 1080 to upgrade from a r9 380x. Oh you will need a case with plenty of room and a reinforced PCIE slot or a brace is recommended as this thing IS HUGE!

Very good card. Of course, overpowered just for gaming. Tried to get the 3080, but was unsuccessful. Got the next best thing since the dirty scalpers charging the same price as 3090. Plays all my old and new games on Max or High settings with DLS and Ray Tracing enabled. Able to connect it to my LG CX 55" is an extra bonus. CONTROL got over 60FPS on the 4k TV. Makes a big difference coming from 1080TI. Play COD Cold war and BattleField V. This card is overkill for the gaming system it went into but since I was able to get it at msrp I don't have any regrets. Was originally going for a 3080 and after 6 months of disappointment playing the gpu lottery on various sites and rising prices on those cards I decided that 1500 for a founders edition 3090 wasn't going to be much more than I'd have to spend on a partner card 3080 and it just so happened to be the one I was able to get into my cart so I went with it. The only real disappointment has been the obnoxious coil whine it had straight out of the box(this is apparently very common with this card) but the longer I use it the better it gets. This thing is a monster and I have no problems playing anything at their highest settings. Very happy with the purchase.

I was lucky enough to get one, when the add to cart button was on a eternal loop. All I can say is that my games are beautiful and this GPU is a beast. It took me a year but I finally got it. And the MSRP price is AMAZING - Almost the same price as a 3080 TI. I heard that there were issues with the temperatures. But maybe Nvidia corrected that, because, the temperatures are great after all my tests... that includes memory junction. If you still want it keep trying (you may be as lucky as me) I did it for months and now I can stop my quest.

This card is definitely not for everyone. If your looking for the best at the moment in gaming or work editing applications and price to performance isn’t your concern than this is the card to get! AMD Big Navi is right around the corner at the time of writing this review so competition should be back which is great. If you need the high video memory for things like blender, rendering, Or want the best for gaming specifically with ray tracing this is it. AMD it’s your time now and very excited to see what you have in store!

I upgraded from a 2080 TI this card is a huge jump in performance from that card! I can play any game in 4K with max settings with 80+ FPS! With Cold War using up sampling And DLSS I could play in 8k no problem! I play most my games using DSR 5k helps a ton sharpening images. Be sure your pc case can accommodate the size of this card it’s about 12.5 inches barely fits in my pc case! My previous card was the MSi Gaming X Trio 2080 ti it’s a even larger 12.79 inches. I added some photos of Forza Horizon 4 in 8k the game looks incredible if your someone like myself that likes playing games beyond 4K this card is for you! Hoping the prices of 4K 144hz monitors come down in price next year I’ll snatch one up!

This is a giant GPU and well worth the upgrade from 1080ti. A lot of people say it does not have substantial better performance in gaming as compared to 3080 but it is made for professional work along with games. I can constantly push 75fps on Cyberpunk in 4k with DLSS and maxed out settings. On the other hand, this GPU has incredibly improved my render time of 4k videos. I would highly recommend this if you do a lot of work on adobe premier pro or similar software. I would not recommend if only buying for gaming. 3080 is better value for money

Performs exactly as expected - best on the market, priced to match that rank. However, my unit came with a defect: powered it up, and heard some severe fan grinding. (video: youtube . com / watch?v=ZDTS5NLuCYM). To say this was heartbreaking was an understatement. There was no option to return it for a replacement, and returning it for a refund and then going back to the F5 grind was a terrifying thought. Luckily, the issue ended up being a slightly out of position fin that came like this out of the box. Manually spinning the fan, was able to locate which fin it was, and made a slight adjustment to it and the issue was resolved. I happened to take a photo of the card before removing it from the box, and going back to that, I did notice where the defect was and encircled it. That being said, on such an expensive, prestigious product, this kind of defect should never have happened. For that, I deducted a star.

Amazing card, obviously! After months of being out of stock, I snagged one when Best Buy dropped cards in the stores back in July. Runs anything you want as long as you're not bottlenecked anywhere else. You need the right display for this card, or you're wasting your money. 2k (1440) resolution at least. Oh...also, this baby weighs 7.2 lbs and doesn't require any sort of gpu mount due to the internal metals holding it up, just make sure you snug up the screws before letting go of this thing when you snap it into your PCI express slots. Runs quite and cool stock but I still can't wait to get it water cooled!

If you absolutely want the best RT performance....

I was previously running a 5700xt, but I decided to upgrade from 2560x1600 to a full on 4k display and quickly hit frame rate issues in World of Warcraft @ Ultra settings and Deus Ex:MD @ Ultra. Couple this with the new Shadowlands game engine being Ray Tracing (RT) enabled along with patiently waiting for CyberPunk 2077 now due in December and I decided to take the plunge. A nifty, "THE WAIT IS OVER!" in stock email popped up in my box and I was lucky enough to score one before it almost immediately went out of stock again. Hardware wise, I'm running an EVGA Z390 FTW coupled with 9900k @ 5.2ghz and 32GB (4x8GB) of G.Skill B-Die @ 4000. This card is pretty massive and expensive, but it gets the job done providing roughly 60fps everywhere @ 4k ultra with RT on high and shadows to high. I never knew WoW could look this good and be this beautiful. Seeing as this is my main game I play (and have played since Vanilla), RT is mandatory now for all my GPUs. The custom FE heatsink and fan keep the card at 65 or cooler at all times while staying relatively quiet (my CPU fans get louder especially during raids). Even a mild overclock still keeps it relatively cool in the 60's. I absolutely LOVE the thick, industrial slab look of the FE heatsink with the lit up "GEFORCE RTX" on the top. Is this card price:performance optimal? No, not even close. The 3080 is clearly the best price:performance spot within the Nvidia family even with the 3070 now here and as always, let your software determine your hardware; but if you want the best RT card on the market, right now this is it. Everybody has their own idea of, "what's worth it." For some reason, people tend to have this odd, annoying habit of trying to tell others how they should spend their disposable income. For me, I wanted top notch performance and now having enabled RT in the game I play the most and at 4k, RT is mandatory now for myself and all future cards.

Wow this card is awesome! Video of it on my YT channel. Search "The AR Guy" I got super lucky on Nov. 11th on a now in stock alert on my phone. I quickly went to the link and kept trying for 16 minutes and it finally added to cart and I was able to buy. I've tried to get other cards as I wish to get 1 for my little brother as a xmas gift. Keep trying everyone. You will get one eventually. Warzone at 1440p on ultra/high settings and I'm getting 170-220 fps all day long. Cyberpunk is about 120-150 fps with dlss on. It's so cool as the shadows and reflections are very realistic.

I got very lucky getting this card with the way gpu market is, Anything and everything you throw at it runs flawless and high FPS on everything ! Although this isn’t the best value for gaming ( Rtx 3070,3080 would be better ) and 1500$ is a bit over priced would have like to see this card at 1000$ like the 6900xt

No brainer buy this GPU at MSRP. Great for game and mine. Terrible card for scalping, because scalping is bad, mkay. Very subtle RGB and a classy titanium finish. Be mindful of the memory temps if you run certain operations. If you're a gamer, you will never use this card to its potential, so go wild without worries (unless you are trying to run triple ultrawide @4k144hz, then consider aftermarket cooling options). Mining almost requires a that you replace the stock thermal pads. Vertical mounting may not be a good idea due to passthrough fan that will blow heat directly at your motherboard. 99% of users do not need this card, but @MSRP might make this your best option.

It's an RTX 3090 FE and I was one of the lucky ones able to pick this up at MSRP. So, what can I say that hasn't already been said in hundreds of other reviews? The power pin cable isn't quite as much of a pain if you have a modular psu. This card even though it's a triple slot card was able to fit in my mini-itx case with absolutely no issue. The horizontal profile of my mobo definitely helped in that department with regard to stability as well. Here is a HUGE issue that never should have made it past QA: The radiator fins on the rear blower fan, one of the fins is tucked down far too much and it rubs against the fan itself. This causes a loud screeching chirp very similar to an angry cicada in your case. The fix for this is to take a flat head screwdriver or some other flat, sturdy device that will fit and pry the fin away from the fan. I needed to do this for a few minutes until the fin would stabilize and stop bending back into the fan. But, it was an easy fix that could have caused a major problem and really shouldn't have made it past QA because upon visual inspection it was easy to spot. Attached image tells the story, look for the little red circle. The value of the card vs say a 3080 or even a 3080TI is a bit off the mark and I believe at the msrp it's still a bit too high considering the performance vs one step down. However, when compared to the 20 series cards these prices are pretty good. So, it really just depends on how you feel about these cards and whether you think paying anything above MSRP or actual MSRP for these cards is within your budget and you're willing to deal with the fact that these cards only became available this late into the game when Nvidia is already dropping leaks about it's 40 series cards. (which will likely be in super short supply as well.)
