Customers are saying

Customers frequently mention the exceptional performance and effective cooling of the GeForce RTX 4080 SUPER 16GB GDDR6X Graphics Card, allowing for high-frame-rate gaming at high resolutions, even with ray tracing enabled. Many appreciate the improved price-to-performance ratio and sleek design, although some note the card's large size. A few users reported experiencing minor coil whine, but overall, the positive feedback on performance and cooling outweighs these concerns.

RTX 4080 Super Review The NVIDIA RTX 4080 Super has entered the market with a lot of hype and high expectations, and it certainly lives up to them in many ways. As a powerhouse in the gaming and content creation space, this graphics card offers impressive performance, exceptional features, and a few notable improvements over its predecessor. Performance: The RTX 4080 Super excels in gaming, easily handling 4K resolutions at high settings with frame rates that are nothing short of spectacular. Titles like Cyberpunk 2077 and Microsoft Flight Simulator run smoothly, showcasing the card’s capabilities with ray tracing enabled. The DLSS 3 technology continues to impress, providing a significant boost in frame rates without compromising on visual quality. For creators, rendering times for 3D modeling or video editing are remarkably reduced, making workflows more efficient. Cooling and Design: NVIDIA's design approach with the cooling system is commendable. The card runs cooler and quieter compared to previous models, thanks to an upgraded thermal solution. The sleek aesthetics and RGB lighting add a nice touch, making it a great addition to any gaming rig. Power Consumption: One aspect worth noting is the power consumption. While the performance is outstanding, the RTX 4080 Super does require a robust power supply, and it’s essential to ensure that your system can handle its demands. Monitoring power usage can help in optimizing performance and efficiency. Value: At its price point, the RTX 4080 Super is indeed an investment. While it offers top-tier performance, it's crucial to assess whether the performance gains align with your specific gaming or creative needs versus potential alternatives in the market. **Conclusion:** Overall, the RTX 4080 Super is a formidable graphics card that further solidifies NVIDIA's dominance in the GPU market. It delivers bleeding-edge performance, especially for 4K gaming and demanding creative tasks. If you’re looking for a card that can handle anything you throw at it while providing a future-proofed solution for upcoming titles and software, the RTX 4080 Super should certainly be on your radar.

Nvidia did extremely well with the 4000 series founder's edition cards. The cooling is extremely effective, and mine barely goes over 50°C under load. The actual performance is very good as well, on the higher end of what to expect for 4080S cards. My only complaint is that on mine one of the lighting strips does not work, but since it performs perfectly and I can't really see it in my setup, I'm not decreasing my rating for this.

I recently upgraded to the 4080 Super graphics card, and it has completely transformed my gaming experience. The performance is jaw-dropping, effortlessly handling even the most demanding AAA titles with stunning visuals and buttery-smooth frame rates. The ray tracing and AI features add a new level of realism, making every scene feel lifelike and immersive. The cooling system keeps temperatures in check, even during intense gaming sessions, and the sleek design adds a touch of style to my setup. Overall, the 4080 Super is a game-changer, offering unparalleled power Highly recommended for anyone looking to take their gaming experience to new heights!

coming from a 3070, I really didn't need to upgrade, but it is very nice. can play cyberpunk 2077 at maxed settings rather than medium/medium-high 1440p I was suffering from before haha. rendering speeds greatly improved. Much more quiet than my 3070 at load. The 4080 super seems to almost never stress, unless you stress test it. I have not done that, but I imagine I would finally hear the fan if i did. cons- I feel they should really include a 12vhpwr cable at least with their top end cards. Knowing the vast majority of us do not yet have the latest generation power supplies. These cables are an additional $20-30 dollars and guess what, best buy always has them in stock. Instead they include in the box a somewhat hideous adapter that requires 3 pcie inputs. If you are here, you know that this (founders edition) is by far the best version of this card. Throw those hideous cliche triple fan +50mhz overclock models in the trash. It is a real shame, to say the least, that the founders edition is only available from one outlet and Nvidia directly. Still, bestbuy's anti-bot purchasing protections have improved and worked well for me. I only recommend this card if you have zero respect for your wallet and or you come into some surplus of cash. The MSRP is $1000.

This product is amazing! Extremely powerful in the performance department! Frame rates, 4k & the cooling are exceptional. Not to mention, the aesthetics are so sleek & clean looking! Couldn’t be happier with the purchase. Goes so well in my build paired with my i7 14th gen! Also, would like to give a thanks to the staff of Best Buy for making the experience a memorable one. Was such a quick & easy process, would love to recommend this product & store to anyone interested!

I got this card for a grand and its really really good. looks super clean without the rgb, and it runs real quiet. I play 1440p and the highest temp ive seen so far was 60° which is great. Fans arent loud at all and the performance is amazing! It’s a huge card though, so id recommend getting a gpu support bracket to make sure it doesnt sag and bend the gpu slot on the motherboard. Overall great investment and happy with the purchase.

This is the one, its the graphics card Nvidia promised in 2018. Its a pity it cost this much to get here. I have been on he Ray tracing hype train from inception. I got an RTX 2080 in 2018. i was generally disappointed and swore never to buy another card. I caved and got a 3090 ti giving RTX another chance, I was disappointed again, I just felt something was missing in these 2 generation of cards that i wasn't getting. I walked into best buy and saw they had a 4080 super FE on display. i knew this card was rare and just bit the bullet and bought it , on last chance to RTX. This card is amazing, I finally see what all the fuss and potential is about ray tracing. Even old games w/o raytracing seem to be undergoing a textural upgrade and minute details in graphics are now visible. All the games I have tested especially raytraced titles look absolutely amazing. Light and shadows are now jaw dropping amazing. . Visuals are one thing, The performance never goes below 120 fps in all games even w/o DLSS or frame gen enabled. It is the smoothest gaming experience I have ever had. Every game at max setting. Cyberpunk, ratchet and clank, God of war, Last of Us, Uncharted, Bioshock 1 and infinite. Immortals of aveum. Spiderman games, Horizon FBW., Guardians of the galaxy, Alan wake 2 . everything looks and plays incredible. This card is amazing. If u can afford it, U will not regret it. i can only imagine what is coming next down the pipeline now that Nvidia has figured it out

Upgraded from a 3080 to a 4080 Super. Price was on point and was a no brainer upgrade. Love the all black look and how sleek and clean it looks. FE is always my choice of Nvidia GPU's because of price, binning (maybe?) and sleekness. Also BB this was such an easy process to purchase. Add to cart -> wait in line -> confirm account -> buy -> GET FRAMES!

Was finally able to get a card after randomly looking at the best buy site. Compared to my 3080FE, this card is massive (size and weight). Positive: Card is quieter, more energy efficient and has less coil whine (than my 3080FE). Negative: weight, size and price (I don't think it is worth $999). Overall I'm happy about the upgrade but am still looking forward to what the 5000series will bring (and at what price)

The Nvidia GeForce RTX 4080 Super redefines gaming with unparalleled performance, lifelike ray tracing, and DLSS. Its cooling is improved but may still generate heat. While pricey, it's a must-have for enthusiasts seeking the ultimate gaming experience.

Upgraded from a 3080. More frames, faster rendering in 3D design applications, and less power than the 4080. Cheaper too! If you already have a 40-series, probably not worth upgrading to this. But anything less than a 3090, I would recommend it.

Upgraded from EVGA 1070TI. The performance difference is incredible but I am in disbelief with how efficient this gpu is. The fan doesn't even spin most of the time as the 4080S idle temps are in the low 30s. At full throttle it barely cracks 60c and I can barely here the fans spinning! As great as this gpu is out of the box I undervolted it and was blown away yet again as now I have the same performance and the gpu doesnt go over 200W or 50c, Incredible! Something else worth mentioning was the packaging, really nice premium touch. After about 8 years with my 1070ti, upgrading to the 4080S FE left zero regrets. I have a feeling I'll have this gpu for about 8 years as well :)

I ended up returning a faulty 4090 and purchased this 4080 super instead. The quality of the Founder's Edition is premium and does not feel cheap at all. The performance is excellent in 1440p gaming. I have yet to try out a 4K monitor, but this card is more than capable for it. The only downside is that the card is extremely difficult to purchase due to the scalpers. If you get a chance to get in line and you get the "not in stock within 250 miles" error, try using a nearby zip code in your area - a store popped up for me and I was able to add to cart and pick up the next day. Good luck!
