I was looking for a client that could pass through HD Audio and this fit the bill. I have tried a few other streaming boxes (roku, apple tv, video game consoles) but this has by far been the best experience. Using my plex server, I'm now able to watch full quality (audio and video) rips of my own blu-rays. Exactly what I wanted. Not to mention, this has a snappy, intuitive interface. with an amazing Voice search. Highly recommend!

This is a great box for media streaming and gaming.... Plus its Android!

I'm really happy with my NVIDIA SHIELD, i bought for stream videos and the quality is amazing and fast. Playing games with it is also great.

I was able to cut the cord by buying this unit, downloaded lots of free apps that allows tv viewing. This is a great device

The product itself is very good however I had a few problems the short time I had it. When I updated the controller and remote software the controller kept disconnecting from the system making it practically useless. Also it did not have a crunchryoll/funimation app which was a deal breaker. I was not aware apps say from your android phone are totally different from the apps made for the Android TV. That was my fault. There is a way to side load these things but I did not want to go through those hoops (basically lazy) so I returned it. I wanted it to work out of the box without issues. I'd still recommend this to anyone interested but it wasn't for me.

This device is so awesome! It is lightning fast and really does well with kodi. I am thinking about getting a second one for my bedroom.

The nvidia shield is a multimedia powerhouse! Stream pc quality games and handle video streaming like no other and the look is very cool

Love the Nvidia. I use it stream movies for my wife and I as well as shows for my kids. We are one step closer to cutting the cords.

I purchased this because of a growing demand of cutting the cable, I have the HDHomerun box and a cable card, so I am using this to watch live TV without having a HTPC attached to my tv. Since I have bought it I have not found a reason to not use this for live tv, I also signed up for the nvidanow streaming for games, it gives my xbox one a run for its money. I have to say it was a great investment.

Will play back practically any format you throw at it. Fast and quiet. Great for somebody who has their own digital library.

Fast, powerful, multi core is second to none. You can't stream fast without the best motor. Definitely a geek must have.

The Nvidia shield worked great in casting videos, and playing games. The hardware's very well built and performance is great, though the Android TV software still feels a bit neglected by Google and unpolished.

Simple enough to use. Decent game selection. All in all I'm satisfied with the performance. Also has built in Plex app.

This box does everything! A have used Apple TV, Roku sticks and an Amazon Fire TV. The Nvidia Shield is superior in every way. The apps all load faster and buffering is virtually non existant and when it happens I'm pretty sure the problem is at the source of the stream. The controller is pretty comfortable too, I haven't gamed much on it yet but I really enjoy the controller for menu navigation and the little bit that I have been playing games. This is not a purchase you will regret.

I love that I can use kodi, stream 4k videos thru Netflix and amazon. In addition I can stream games thru my pc.

This is by far the best streaming device anyone can get. Plus you get the added value of Nvidia Shield Zone. Only gave 4 stars because I am waiting on the new software update. Then would make it 5!

Great cord-cutting device, capable of handling your games and 4K content (Netflix, Vudu, etc). It runs a flavor of Android, so you can install Android apps, configure it, etc. Comes with a TV remote as well as a game controller. Outstanding specs, but more pricey than the competition. I was looking for a streaming device (and almost bit on the new 4K Roku), and this does the job nicely. It's touted as a great Plex server, which is one of the reasons why I picked it up. However, it didn't work out that well for my use case - I add and remove movies from my Plex server a lot (2-3 times a week), and I couldn't get that part of it to work like I wanted - hence the 4 stars instead of 5.

This has been very stable and is very fast. I have tried other android TV consoles, but this is by far the best.
