I have been looking for a replacement for a WD TV, but nothing had the right drivers to play my local files and 5G connectivity. This has met all my requirements.

I bought the Nvidia - Shield from my local Best Buy when I heard that it could be used as a Plex server. It works very well as a Plex server with minimal set up required. It also plays the apps that are available on the platform very well and is rather responsive. I wish the store had a better selection of apps. Currently my Roku seems to have a lot more than the Shield. The package I bought came with a gaming controller and a remote controller but I'm not sure if that is normal. You can also install emulators on this as well as buy or stream video games from the Nvidea store.

Nvidia came through with the most powerful streaming device. Although pricier than the competition, my experience with the nvidia shield has been extraordinary.

The Shield does everything I expected very well. I also didn't realize it allows casting through built in Chromecast. Very nice addition seeing as how Comcast still doesn't allow HBO To GO to work on the Shield.

Currently one of the best Android TV devices. This helped me save a lot money that I would have spent on regular TV service. Also, Cloud gaming is very innovative.

I've been using all types of streaming devices like Roku, Fire TV, Apple TV, etc. I can say that finally I found what I've been looking for in the Shield, I can do everything I want on it and then some being that this device runs on Android it's very powerful and smooth and I got it on sale for 179.99 that was the best part, don't give it a second thought and get it you won't regret it.

More than impressed with all the media capabilities of this device...highly recommend owning this.

I have all of the media content providers in the house; AppleTV, FireTV, FireTV Stick, Kodi, Plex and I just found the one to do almost everything. The only thing I haven't found yet is how to connect it to my iTunes for the couple of movies I purchased there. Other than that, I use it to replace or as the primary interface for my Plex Server (it will soon be my Plex Server) and there is a Kodi app so I am able to view all of my Kodi content. No issues with it at all.

I tried an earlier AndroidTV device a few years ago and ended up returning it. I also tried the one that's on fire from the amazonian forest/river, and returned that, as well. This one's a keeper. With PLEX, I get beautiful high-def video and (what the others all failed at) perfect sound including Dolby Digital +. In addition, it has all the AndroidTV apps to give me a great YouTube experience and access to real TV channels through the Live TV apps.

Games, streaming.....this device is pure entertainment and pure enjoyment. You will not be disappointed!!!!

The shield loaded with apps and it's super fast also easy to set up. Get the remote makes life a lot easier.

Easy to use. Lots of room to down load on to. The variety of things you can use this for is amazing.

This is 100 times better than an apple tv, gaming is very good on this device and kodi runs smoothly.

I am very pleased with the nvidia shield. Great for streaming movies and shows. Gaming is good also.

We don't have cable and purchased this to replace it and it's one of the best investments we ever made!

Had it 4 about a month and it does everything I was expecting it to do. I wish it had a Brower built in . In stead of sideloading apk .

This has wireless AC, but I'm pleasantly surprised at how well this streams 1080p over wireless N from the internet and a local QNAP server. Added Kodi and HDHomerun Prime plug-in, and it works great streaming cable card content. Only gripe is no Amazon Instant Video or HBO Go. HBO Go can be solved by casting from another device, but the Amazon Instant Video work arounds are a little more technical and less convenient.

Great product, the controller is amazing. Online gaming is really good, but you have to have at least 50mgbs. Lots of apps available, and they are adding more pretty often.

The rolls royce of media streamers and more! This thing, even though now a few years old, is constantly being updated, every few months. Handles 4K HDR video, streams games from nvidia store, and even your own desktop NVIDIA game video card in your home. Bitstreams audio (aka passthru surround sound, including Dolby Atmos, DTS-X, and more!!) Love this thing!!
