Hands down the best streaming device I've ever owned. Speed and picture quality is excellent. I'm a BIG Plex user so this is now my media server. I have two external hard drives connected to the USB ports and playback of 4K HDR files is flawless.

The Nvidia Shield tv is the most powerful straming box when it was on sale I have to buy it, so far it has not dissapoint me.

Great streaming device! Has all your typical apps, netflix, amazon, espn, hbo etc. Plus it has the ability to play many newer games along with the cool new nvidia game streaming service you can play AAA titles through this thing. It may be a little pricier than others, but catch it on sale and you wont regret it.

Happy with my purchase of the Nvidia Shield. Solid product and solid performance for streaming. Having played any games yet.

This device well pays for itself with all the options it offers. Kodi, Nvidia game stream, chromecast Ultra, controller and remote included. Speedy processor, HDR, 4K, I can't be happier for a device that does it all with the TV. Oh forgot to mention Google Home is coming too later. Chromecast Ultra and Google Home cost almost $200 already.

I will start by saying I am not an Android user, however I am no stranger to computers and different operating systems. I found this device pretty annoying/frustrating to use because so many menus and the way you have to do things just isn't explained. You either have to just figure it out yourself or maybe it's Android things you just "know" as an Android user. From my point of view, it wasn't very user friendly for the first 30 minutes. Once I had all the buttons and menus memorized I was able to download some apps, games, and emulators. Of course, since it uses Google's store, 99.9% of the apps/games are all designed for the phones. 7/10 of the emulators I tried crashed over and over. After a few hours of use (and numerous times of wanting to throw the media remote against the wall because the volume control is so easily bumped), I ended up returning the device. And, yes, I get that the Shield TV is really in its own category because of the ability to stream games etc, which I used, but I just didn't have glorious experience a lot of Shield owners rant about. And I certainly didn't have a good experience with emulators, which I have no problem running on the dozens of other devices I have them on. I liked this thing a lot, but I feel like it's only for a specific group of customers. That wouldn't been me awhile ago, but not anymore. I highly recommend it if you fall in that category of someone who would use this, and you know who you are, but for the average person just wanting to play games and watch media, nah.

Much faster than my Roku. More pricey, but worth it. Some of the apps you have to side load. Just go on YouTube to learn.

This box is fast, has a very rich repertoire of apps and streaming services to choose from and you can run Kodi on it. Very good hardware and you can pass TrueHD and DTS-MA to your receiver. if you have a google account you can link the box to your account. This is a must for anyone who is comfortable with Android and Android TV

If you ever had problems streaming then you want to make sure you buy this. I stream from an Hdhomerun machine and had lagging and artifact issues with fire tv. I switched to this and everything was smooth and fast. If you want to cut the cord don't mess around with anything else and just buy this. One additional benefit is that the remote has volume control which in some cases such as mine, I didn't need the TV remote ever as I could control everything from their tiny stick remote.

This is a must have for media and game playing. It's processor is super fast and all of my streaming media comes through with no interruptions, I had a Chinese android box, which this Shield replaced and I'll say that you truly get what you pay for. The Shield has also replaced my PS4 for my kids. Well worth what I paid.

Literally the best thing on earth. If you want the best streaming device especially if you want to use Kodi, this is it!

Great device. Upgraded from an H96 pro plus. This device has speed like no other, easy to use, software updates, and easy to add an external hard drive. The only thing I don’t like is the power off function, once it is turned off, the only way to turn it back on is to unplug it and plug it back in again.

Any app worth having including Amazon is already loaded on this device. It is very simply to set up and did I mention it was FAST. There are no other devices on the market that can even come close to the Shield. Plenty of storage for the standard user and expandable storage if needed by USB Drive. This is the real deal folks.

This is a very easy streaming device to use. I use it for movies and gaming. Very quick with no lag time. LOVE IT!!!!!

I use this thing almost every day. It is a very intuitive android-based streaming box, and it's also a great gaming system. I use it for emulators to play my collection of games I brought back from Japan, streaming games with GeForce Now, and I also use Steam Link to stream my PC games. I LOVE THIS THING!

The Nvidia Sheild is great for all the apks and streams I have download for my family to enjoy movies and tv shows.

The unit is definitely the best streamer on the market. Plays everything you throw at it, especially with the 3GB of Ram. My only complaint is the included remote. Even with the latest remote firmware, the device loses sync with the remote, and completely ruins the overall experience. Who wants to use a bulky game controller to use the menus as an alternative - I certainly don't! There are tons of users complaining about the new remote, which otherwise ruins a very nice system. If you decide to use HDMI-CEC, you'll be fine, but if you plan to use the included remote, be aware, there are documented issues all over the nvidia forums.....

I bought the shield because it is the best product I could buy for being a Cord cutter and gamer. Literally worth it

It can handle pretty much anything I throw at it. It's easy to set up game streaming from my gforce card in the PC. Only gripe I have is the remote. Remote stopped working in 6 months. That's why I gave it 4 star instead of 5.
