Compared to other devices I have purchased this thing is overkill, I love it! Excellent Kodi box, and Gaming machine, subscribing monthly to the NVidia gaming store get's you a ton of member-free games like Tomb raider, a few Lego games, Hitman, ect... Good quality games not just Android Mobile stuff.

Simply the best Android TV box on the market. Faster and better than the Fire offerings and while the price is a little steep, you won't have any problems or waste anytime troubleshooting like you would with other cheaper Android alternatives. Get one! You won't regret it!

I have used Android TV on few other devices (Nexus player, Sony TV) but this by far the best Android TV experience I had so far. The interface is pretty much the same on all devices however this looks like far more robust than the other ones. Plus shield comes with plex server and Amazon prime video apps (these were not available on Nexus player) and also let's it's hard drive shared over the network which makes it easier for file transfer . The remote is simple and a lot responsive than the other ones I have used. The only downside I see is the pricing options - for those who don't need the extra processing power for for games/plex server, there is no variant in the comparable price range of say a fire TV or roku.

This is a powerful streaming device. I am able to stream in 4k and play games with no lag or delay.

Great for movies and entertainment, fast and updated regularly. The gaming controller is great. Easy to expand the internal storage with a USB hdd or USB flash drive. Would like to see more games on android tv though. Emulators work good but a keyboard with built in trackpad and android support with android home menu and back keys are a must in some emulators. Side loading works to get some apps that aren't on the android tv store.

We replaced our FireTv 2nd Gen with this device. It's faster and from what I hear the audio quality is better. We couldn't be happier that it has a built in Chromecast since we have Android mobile devices so throwing videos to our TV is so much easier. My only issue is the remote feels a lil cheaper than the FireTv remote. The volume control on the remote seems to be in a weird position so sometimes I adjust the volume by accident when picking up the remote.

Best in every way. I loved the roku but tried the Shield to me it's flawless and does games and streaming with ease uses with Alexa and is Android based so uses with Google as well. Chrome cast built in and everyhing is fast and excellent. Best in my book so far
