One of the best android boxes. Runs perfect and smooth

This nvidia shield is awesome. Can’t put it down. I had the fire stick mi box. Do not compare To the nvidia shield. The best streaming gaming device that I ever had. It’s apart of my everyday life.

Add one item very fast plus has games for a good price

The Shield is Great for Streaming and Smart casting and Superb as a Media player,,, The remote isn't that great but the Game Controller is, My only other con is you can't turn it completely off...

Very fast processor and easy to use. The only issue is with the OS. Android TV is still very limited when it comes to apps. Aside from that, it's an excellent device.

This is the best low price option for Plex library streaming as well as just overall alternative to the apps that run on a smart TV (at least if you have a Samsung). My first Shield did fail after the last update for whatever reason so this one was a warranty replacement. I will admit that I'm not a fan of how Google treats external storage and due to this I'd recommend using 2 external drives..1 as removable and 1 as internal. The 16gb on board really isn't enough and if you only use 1 for storage of movies/photos exc. you'll end up loosing the data due to the way the drive is encrypted for your specific Shield....at least that's how my experience was.

This device is the fastest, most powerful Android tv box I've ever used. The best part is its ability to game. I never played steam games before this device, and now, I'm getting down on No Man's Sky. There are a slew of features too. So many that I haven't tried them all. It's a hefty price, but now I see why. It's basically a console.

i worked fine for what i needed it for and its quick

Its a neat device stands out and does well what it could. The price could be lesser. Basically its an one place smart feature, usually the smart tv smart features are slow one additional plus is can play decent amount of games and also can STEAM from pc's. Overall pretty good device to have for some one who is not into much gaming but enjoys gaming occasionally for fun.

I tried the MiBox and returned it and bought this and I am glad I did, This is the fastest streaming device by far. It does everything I need and more. Along with streaming just about any content, I also use it to watch and record live tv using an usb tuner.

Great for streaming television and paling free games

I've heard nothing but positive reviews about this device. Unfortunately, I learned that my family may not be the target audience. The remote control (Not game controller) is confusing if you are not an Android user or techie. It's great for me, (I like to game and understand gaming console controllers) but my wife needed something simple and that did not come with a learning curve. The lack of clearly marked buttons are confusing and there is a quirk or two. Trying to fast forwarding on a streaming service is hard to get a hold of. You either jump too far ahead or are unable to stop it. The volume key on the remote is in the center and is finicky. It has a really hard time syncing with where you left off in an episode. Amazon Video (This is pre android 8.0 update) will quit if you try to multitask or go to the home screen). This device may be good for Plex, gamers, or if you have a specific use for it. I was excited for it's power and to test out Android TV but wasn't for us in the end. I think we should try the Roku instead. I know this is pretty much marketed towards gamers and don't get me wrong, the Nvidia Shield is pretty sweet if everyone at home is into that sort of thing. Just know your audience is all.

Going from a Roku to Nvidia Shield TV is like night to day. This thing is fast and I love being able to put a GC emulater on it; Playing a lot of Mario Kart Double Dash now. The picture is perfect too.

By far, the fastest processing you can get on a android box. Love that I can do gaming from google play store and steam. Overall, if you are a cord cutter, get this android tv box

Great 4k streamer and so far has worked perfectly.

The nvidia shield TV is a fantastic device, especially for those wanting to ditch cable TV. Live sports were the thing keeping me from cutting the cord, but now with services like YoutubeTV, I can see my Blackhawks games without cable! the shield supports basically every streaming service imaginable - from the obvious like hulu, netflix, pandora etc to services like YoutubeTV and others. It also works great with an HDHomeRun if you've got one of those. The only reason I give it 4 stars instead of 5 is that the Android TV platform hasn't forced any kind of consistency on interfaces -- with so few buttons on the remote, this can take some getting used to. In YoutubeTV, for example, the back button can't be used to exit the app - but in other apps, once you get back to the main screen, "back" exits the app. This may sound like a silly nitpick, but it's kinda frustrating having to think about which app I'm in when I'm hitting the same one of just 3-4 buttons on the remote. Still, this is a device I can heartily recommend. Most amazingly, even after a couple of years and not being a super popular device - it's still getting software updates!

I had been wanting to get it for some time,and did get it during a price drop,on the 16Gb model. I added a 256GB SSD to it that I had laying around. The Interface is OK but could use a makeover in my opinion. As I was adding favored Apps I could not find The CW app available. What I was able to do to get it was add The CW app to Plex app and watch it that way. Plex works just fine on this device vs the way it works on my PC,causing hiccups sometimes. I normally get Nvidia graphics cards for my computers so I knew that the Shields processor would do a good job. I got the Nvidia Shield TV for my 4K HDTV and I love it. I have not tried to play any games yet,since I have PS4 Slim and Xbox One.

Easy setup works without a hitch. Very fast and remote very responsive. If you are think about cutting the cord this is the way to go. It is my main entertainment hub for everything.
