This is an all in one Android TV player. You can play games, watch shows, movies, youtube, etc.. This is the most powerful device on the market and the fastest! I was able to cut my cable, attach an HD Homerun Quattro with a Hard Drive and setup scheduled recordings so I don't miss my shows! The remote battery lasts a while, but I like having a controller that is chargeable via micro usb as the smaller remote needs special cr 32 batteries. All in all, best and fastest device on the market! No other box compares!

This is def what you wanna go for if you want to do streaming and gaming. Puts the firestick apple tv and roku box to shame

If you're like me and looking for the best streaming devices to watch Netflix, VUDU etc.. 4K UHD plus Dolby 5.1 PCM. Sounds great Someone still needs to get this category done better. Why can't someone have proper audio connects like Toslik, Optical etc.. HDMI is great for video but I want to run the video only via HDMI and have the audio running on its own discrete line. Someone needs to step up and make a device that's UHD 4K plus HiRes Audio capable. Video gets all the love what about the audiophiles out there.

I have 2 amazon fire boxes and saw this had to have it. All I can say is this box is way faster than the amazon and much easier to set up.

I haven't even gotten a 4K HDR TV yet, but the Nvidia Shield TV is a great media player / device. I have the one without the additional storage and it's been wonderful for Plex, Youtube, Prime, Netflix and all the other media apps out there. Built in Chromecast is also super helpful! Beyond that, their gamestreaming beta is also amazing, even if a little less refined compared to Google Stadia. Buying a Shield TV helps you skip waiting in that beta-admission line.

I plan on cutting the cord, read a lot of reviews, and it was on sale. bought it, no problems. very powerful. hooked mine up with ethernet, NO buffering. Watch Netflix, Hulu and Amazon prime. Signed up for some free services, lots of great older movies, TV shows. I only have one small complaint. The remote is 98% black, and very thin. I have misplaced it 3 times. it sometime slips down between the cushions on my couch. Other than that it is great, I use voice controls a lot.

Works great. Gets rid of my other media streamers and puts it into one. Plus you can play games with a controller.

For speed, picture quality and performance it doesn't get better than this. Well maybe the new version : )

Firestick, gaming PC, emulator all in one. I love the design and it moves very fast and streaming is seamless.

I tried the ROKU, and it was just too primative. It was also constantly slow, skipping during streaming, not showing in 4K all the time. But the Shield changed all that. Super quick to navigate. The apps open nearly instantly. And always at super high 4k quality, do pixelation or lagging. My only complaint is the small remote has a weird placement for volume, that you hit by mistake all the time. Other than that, I love it, and plan to pick one up for my bedroom tv.

The shield is great. Nice 4K games as well as streaming tv. The stream feature from my 1080 graphics card makes is worth the price.

The Shield TV performs great considering the hardware that is in it, but it is a bit overpriced for what you get. As long as you are a Nvidia GTX owner already, the game streaming is pretty cool but if you are an anti-Nvidia GPU person, be prepared to shell out some more money to buy a compatible Nvidia GTX card for your PC in order to use the game streaming features. If Nvidia made it possible to use the game streaming features with a Radeon card, I might consider the Shield TV being worth the price. In short, if you are looking for an overpriced streaming media device for Netflix, Amazon Video, and other streaming media services, this is the box for you. If you want a box to stream your PC games to your big screen, look at buying a Steam Machine or something else as you will get more bang for your buck from something else.

Compared to all the other android boxes on the market. This android box delivers the best picture quality, speed and sound.

After thorough review I decided to get the shield tv, 16 GB edition. At the same time I purchased a 128 GB USB 3.0 thumb drive, and a 4TB external. I use it as a plex server, to include live TV with a usb tv tuner. works just fine. The gamestream capabilities are far superior to the steam link as well for those who need that. Overall it is incredibly fast and very versatile. Being able to connect 4 Controllers and play Rocket league with my boys on the big screen streaming from my computer is amazing!

This is the best streaming box hands down nothing even comes close. As a bonus feature this a gaming platform too.

I have only had this set up for a few days now and have had a few issues I am a little frustrated about. I have a new Roku tv in the bedroom and a Roku device for a few years now on one of the tv's. Therefor the Shield set up will take some time getting used to. My problem is the connection between the remote and the streaming deviice itself. The game controllers connect just fine; however, the remote constantly "stalls" for lack of a better word. It won't react to volume, play, browsing apps... sometimes it will "pause" but all other functions will fail. This is disappointing for a brand new device and such promising reviews. The volume control function isn't working out too well for me either. Maybe my remote is faulty. Give it a few months for next review.

The volume on the remote takes some getting use to. Very nice game controller, feels great... I don’t use it much, as I don’t game. But have used it recently for connecting a wired headset to it to listen to tv and not disturb my wife. Love running Plex, Kodi, and many other apps on this device. Plex runs well as a client, not so much as a Server (which it can do, but I wasn’t impressed with it as a Plex server)
