This box literally does everything you want and then some. It streams Netflix, Hulu as well as Amazon Prime. So you have the big 3 streaming media providers. It also supports Sling Tv and Playstation Vue for cable channels. It comes with a game controller so you can play Android games as well as emulators. If you have the extra cash, definitely pick this up. You wont be disappointed!

I've owned a few android boxes my latest the idroidnation.and this nvidia shield destroys them all. I don't do reviews but this thing is worth every penny and it is smooth. And the design provides a conversational piece lol. If you are in the market for a beast android experience this box will do that. I got the 16g vers. With a Samsung 250g ssd external. My media room is complete.

I've tried many streaming devices. This by far is the best among all of them. If you're thinking of using it for kodi you won't be disappointed. I was hesitant at first because of the price, but the price is justified by its performance. Many will say it is overkill for watching videos because this is obviously built for gaming as well, but it is truly enjoyable even as a media box.

Iv owned a few. I can honestly say this is the best Box out there! If you research it for top 10 box's it number 1 every time! All pros and no cons!

Best streamer on the market! It can do it all if your into it but too much for average users. I use it as a streamer for Netflix, Amazon, Disney, Plex, Kodi Gforce Now, Steam and more. I like it so much I bought my brother and father the same one. One downside is the controller is not as rugged as as a console's and if had to warranty it twice.

I use this box mostly for KODI addons & for PLEX and it’s Media Server. Plays 4k natively, crystal clear. Android OS is simple and easy to navigate. Suggest enabling developer mode to keep box awake, it will fall asleep and mess up your server occasionally. The remote is what it is. I personally don’t like the volume control, but it’s only a minor nuisance.

This NVidea Shield TV is so awesome, I just about wanted to get rid of my Sony 4k TV to get a Vizio and another NVidea Shield. This thing is so fast and smooth. It downloads apps very quickly and switches super quick. Unlike Amazon Fire TV, you can control the volume it sends to the TV so you don't need to grab your TV remote after switching to it unless you want to turn it up louder.

This thing rocks! I used to have a Roku 4 and it started having issues and couldn't stream live tv well. This thing has zero problems streaming. It has clear crisp resolution. It also can stream from Nvidias GeForce game streaming service that has console level graphics. I totally recommend this. It's awesome. The built in chromecast is handy as well. Can stream videos from Facebook.

confusing to setup at first but theres plenty of videos online to help out with it. i bought it to play some emulators on and it took me forever to figure out how to set them up. also if your buying for emulators for old school games buy a 1tb or larger portable hd, a 128gb usb stick to permanantly mount to storage, a wireless mouse, and a usb hub. it is cheaper to do it that way then it is to buy the pro version that has more storage and a micro sd slot. the micro usb is pointless imo cause ur android phone is linkable to the console and iphones dont have the option for micro sd. no clue if you can link an iphone to it either

I was looking for something to pair with my Optoma GT1080 Darbee. I had it paired with a FireTV stick, setup worked perfectly except for one major drawback, lack of YouTube. I'm also a casual gamer and shield gave me a mix of both worlds, a smart TV capability for my projector, along with the ability to play games on big screen. Very happy with my purchase.

Got this to replace my Steam link and this thing is awesome. If you do buy one and play a lot of games, it is not necessary to get the 500 GB model. You can have your media on a USB drive, plug it in and view your media without having to download into the Shield. It is also strongly suggested to have fast Internet and ethernet to get the best experience. Highly recommend.

What can I say? This is my second nvidia shield and I liked the first one which is downstairs that I needed to buy another one for the tv upstairs

So far my expectations have been met. Android is a little buggy, or at least the apps are, because they freeze up sometimes. Its not a replacement for cable tv, but its close. I havent had cable tv in about five years and havent missed it. Once tv providers release that items like this are the future and start making all free content internet prices will sky rocket. It performance is rock solid. integration with my sony tv is perfect. The shield turns the tv on and off, voice command is nice. I would probably buy another for another room. Also the remotes arent infared so the unit can be hid.
