I have used Roku, Fire TV, and other devices to do my streaming from, but this device blows them all out of the water. This thing is so fast and supports all the TV and audio formats that you can't go wrong. Some may flinch at the price, but in the end it is well worth the cost.

I have this paired with an xbox one x and its the ultimate entertainment experience! Loaded with ps vue its fantasic!

I have had Rokus, and still have a Amazon Fire and must say this Nvidia Shield is faster more stable and easier to navigate than either of the 2 mentioned. Im no longer a gamer but my Grand kids enjoy playing the Free games you can download on this device as well. Get 1, you wont be disappointed !

I previously had a basic streaming box which died within 6 months. I decided to pay the extra to get the Nvidia Shield and it is definitely worth it. It is the fastest one on the market. I also use a Roku stick but this is my preferred choice.

This item is on the expensive side but does so many things. I bought it for its Media Center but it also has Netflix, Hulu, and Amazon, etc. I did not buy it for this but it also has the capability of playing games too. I have 2 of these now and they can be a little complicated on setup depending on what you want to add.

At first I was a bit skeptical about getting this box but now that I have it, it's the best investment I've made!

I was a little skeptical about this media box just for the simple fact the price is a little steep. After i bought the shield my worries were over, it's easy to step up, the fact that u can add more memory is genius. My son loves playing games on it as well and he already has both systems the Xbox and PS4. Watching movies to watching YouTube videos is a breeze switching between either or. Only down side it the background can't be changed and this was me trying to find something bad about this device other then that i love it.

I've purchased this as a replacement for a Chromecast ultra in my bedroom. I've used a shield for over 2 years on my main tv. It is the best streaming device period. It replaced our cable box seamlessly when we dropped cable TV for YouTube TV. Top quality playback and the fastest response going through menus and launching media and apps. If you have a lot of media it's also a great and completely silent Plex server that can serve up that media anywhere on anything Using the GeForce now service it plays Steam games at ultra settings. I don't have a lot of time to game so being able to not spend a small fortune on a gaming rig or console and still play is a huge benefit for me. It's also a Google home And it's been updated consistently for 3 years. It's up to Android Oreo. That's better than many phones and tablets that came out last year. It's actual improved with age. Every year it's gained functionality through consistent updates. Nvidia has done a great job supporting this little wonder of a box.

The shield is an incredibly powerful streaming device. With the Tegra chipset, I experience no lag at all while loading apps and launching videos, like I have experienced with many other streaming devices and smart TVs. Netflix in true 4K HDR is amazing! The gaming experience is also outstanding.

We mainly got this to integrate with Alexa, Plex and really, to make our lives a little easier. It does everything our Samsung Smart TV does but MUCH better. The interface is lightning quick, the voice search uses Google just like an android phone and it looks really sleek. If I had to make one complaint, and this is really nit-picky, the remote is too thin. It's constantly falling between couch cushions or what have you. The Plex app for it is great, so are the regular media apps like Netflix / YouTube. The game streaming thing is really nice, I do not have an Nvidia subscription but I have streamed games both through Steam to the Shield as well as through the Shield's own interface (and Nvidia Experience blehhh). This works great, there is a wee bit of delay on Wi-Fi, but not enough to mess with most games. Don't expect to play competitive Rocket League using this, you'll probably want to plug in the ethernet cable for that but it does work. Overall very happy with this purchase, would recommend and am excited to get more use out of the gaming side of the device as time goes on.

Pros -sleek design, gaming is descent, streams very well. Cons-Remote and controller not very responsive, Battery life is okay.

I got MiBox 4 when it first came out for my 4K TV since it was cheap ($70). However, it was not powerful enough to handle 4K TV. I have read many reviews about the ShieldTV. I bought it when Best Buy had the deal with $25 off using VISA checkout. ShieldTV is great. It can handle everything. It now replaces my MiBox.

A super fast streaming device with google assistant and smartthings integration? What more could you ask for?!

This is the best streaming device for 4K and HDR content. Includes video output settings for 4K @ 60Hz, 59.94Hz, 30Hz, 29.97Hz, & 24Hz; chroma settings for 4:4:4, 4:2:2, and 4:2:0; rec. settings for 709 and 2020. Upscaling of SD and HD content is excellent. Includes a remote and gaming device. I added a FLIRC IR receiver and a USB hub. I use a Logitech USB keyboard and mouse, a Logitech 920 USB webcam, and a Logitech 700 IR remote, all of which work very well with the SHIELD. The only limitation so far is the amount of Android TV apps available for the SHIELD, but I anticipate this will increase significantly over time. For Live TV, I've used Sling and Playstation Vue apps, both of which work very well. There is not an app yet for DirecTV Now, so I use an Android tablet app and cast it to the SHIELD, since Chromecast is included. Preinstalled apps includes Amazon Video, Netflix, Hulu, Vudu, Plex, Kodi, etc. You can also sideload many other .apk apps, including Chrome, Firefox, etc. I'm not much of a gamer, but there are lots of free gaming apps available to download to the SHIELD.

I think this is the Best 4k HDR streamer currenly on the market. I had one of the new Roku boxes but it would not recognize all of he audio formats from movies on my server when using Plex. I also think the Roku interface is plain awful. The Nvidia box is fast and modern and will handle anything you through at it.
