Picked this up for my nephews. This past Christmas they received Smash Bros and well as a couple of gamecube controllers, unfortunately no one bought them an adapter for the controllers and for some reason Nintendo's official controller adapter has been impossible to find so when I saw this at BestBuy I had to snag it. As far as I know they haven't had any trouble with it so it seems like a good alternative to Nintendo's official adapter.

My daughter wanted to use my Switch for her little party and this allowed easy use of my existing GameCube controllers onto my Switch. The only downside was that the GameCube controllers were missing the + and - buttons so the options were: use the Joycons as a controller either while on the switch or remotely. I think only Player 1 needs that type of functions. It also plugged into the Switch dock and I used both USB ports to ensure power for rumble functionality(which we never tried). So, with that in mind, I'm super pleased with this and may consider a better wired-controller option. It's nice to be able to share some of the GameCube components so as to have fewer system-specific parts taking up space.

I am currently playing Switch games with my old game cube, but I have not experienced any issue so far. Since I don’t have any Switch related controllers other than Joy-cons, I am glad that my old controller became usable again.

This is a great product for those who still like to use their old gamecube controllers for gaming. It's cool that this adapter works on just about all of my switch games. And it's especially good for 8 player Super Smash bros matches.

I love this hub! You can plug in GameCube and WaveBird controllers and it works beautifully! There was no lag or issues when I used it! Make sure to plug in the black wire first!

Does the job it was meant to do. I use it with a 2nd gen switch. Compatible with OG GameCube controllers and the limited run Smash bros ultimate controller that came out a few years ago.

Buy this if you have your old GC remote controls. I was a bit skeptical at first, however, it works fine and I've played with up to six friends already on Smash Ultimate after purchasing a few between friends. Feels a bit light/cheap but it does the trick!

Used this product for gamecube controllers to play Mario Kart and smash bros. Works well and great way to play with family and friends if you do not own extra switch controllers! Would recommend to any gamer

Works great, isn't too bulky and feels decent for the price. Just needed something to work and wasn't willing to wait for something to be shipped. Well worth the price

As I think the Nintendo Switch controllers are horrible. (all the joysticks stick, calibration doesn't help) Boo Nintendo! This is a nice alternative. Already had 4 gamecube controllers and this works great, and pretty cheap too.

Great way to allow use of older Gamecube controllers adding to enjoyment of games playable with backwards compatibility. Just be aware oilers controllers may lack the smooth/precision control of joy cons. Also, great way to allow multiplayer game play without the expense of new (possibly unavailable) controllers.

It gets the job done. Feels like it's the very bare minimum needed to do its job. The cord is a fairly reasonable length, although it could be longer. The ports for the Gamecube controllers are quite tight; it takes some effort to insert and remove the controllers from the port.

Cord is a tad short my preference kind of a pain cause my original gamecube controllers have short cords so you gotta sit pretty close to the switch dock to use them. Works as intended though no issues with functionality. Much cheaper than buying new controllers for a switch if you had a gamecube as a kid.

This item is a must have. No need to purchase multiple switch controllers for party play, just buy gamecube controllers which are much cheaper. Party games such as super smash ultimate, mario kart 8 and much much more.

It is literally no hassle at all, you just plug it into the switch and then plug in your gamecube controller(s) and they sync up with no problems and you can play with them with any game.

No problems at all. I own the original impossible-to-find Nintendo branded version as well but needed a second for 8-player matches. They work exactly the same for me... but this one was cheaper and in stock.

I mentioned to my friend how much I liked the GameCube controllers, and he informed me that this product exists. This is great for playing Super Smash Bros. and showing my son who's boss.

This is great for trying to keep up with my kids. There is something about the GameCube controller that just feels right, and makes certain games easier to play.

hooked this up to the wii u and the switch no problem. a must have if you play smash and your friends want to use their gamecube controllers
