This film is a modern classic. The soundtrack alone is enough of a reason to watch this movie. But stay for the entertaining characters and constantly moving story. It is framed upon Homer's Odyssey, and sharp eyes will catch many of the references. The Cohen brothers do an excellent job of building this world with humor and subtle reflection. Sidenote: I purchased this to watch with the family, and a couple weeks later it appeared available on streaming services! haha.

Very funny movie George Clooney is very funny funny

It is a good movie, but the language is bad for a family with children. I would have enjoyed it better but using God’s name in vain I didn’t like. Can’t understand why they think a movie with bad language is okay for people when it isn’t. Gone With The Wind made millions of dollars only had 1 bad word in it and it was a great movie. Music was good and acting was good. Wish they could remake it without the language.

O brother where art thou is an excellent and funny film, the film is based off homers odyssey ( not really lol) the Cohen brothers haven’t actually read the book. But the film takes the general premis of the novel and makes a southern bluegrass filled masterpiece. I won’t say much more, just watch the film.

The Coen Brothers do not disappoint with is grand tale of Ulysses Everett McGill, Delmar O’Donnell and Pete as they journey through Depression era Mississippi after escaping from their chain gang. Plenty of quotable lines as well such as “We’re in a tight spot!”, “I’m a Dapper Dan man!” and “The Color Guard’s colored!”

This is one of the very best Coen Brothers movies, with a wonderful script, great cast and a terrific "old-time" music score curated by T-Bone Burnett. George Clooney, Tim Blake Nelson, John Turturro, Holly Hunter, John Goodman and Charles Durning lead the stellar cast. A must own for any Coen Brothers fan!

Not sure what it is about this film, but my whole family loves it. The soundtrack is good, and you can't help but to root for Everett..the Dapper Dan man :) It's a quirky, crime/adventure that is innocent enough for the younger ones, but still intriguing enough for the adults.

Well, I’ve seen this movie quite a few times and decided I need to add it to my collection as that one song (in particular)… ‘Man Of Constant Sorrow’ is such an awesome song. There’s a few very amusing parts in this movie as well.

I love this movie because of the era and the music along with the humor. This is the best movie George Clooney has ever made. His character is hilarious and so are the other two guys with him. Great movie.

Excellent story telling of Depression Era Mississippi by the Coen Brothers, very interesting acting and action as the Clooney led trio encounter various situations.

A Coen title that has been on my wish list for far too long. I found it here at an unbeatable price. The bluray is excellent both video and audio wise. Disney fell short on the supplement side but overall it's a fun movie.

This is one of absolute favorite films and the transition to blu-ray holds well. One criticism is a slight lack of special features, for those who are interested. Also, the packaging/disc case was slightly damaged prior to the delivery of the item. It appears as though the back was sliced with the box cutter at one point.

I have recently watched this movie for the first time even though it has been available on DVD for many years. The overall plot was very funny with great music, and all of it set during the Depression Era. It also touchingly showed how people persevered through those troubled times to maintain their dignity and honor.

It's silly to think this is practically a classic but it is a excellent movie bought this for my dad for Christmas he had it on VHS but his player quit working so I had to track the DVD down for him. Best Buy makes purchasing items very easy online.

It's a classic! It was relatively successful when it came out and it holds up pretty well given the time period it is set in. The music is good too. All in all it is an interesting, quirky concept and so different from the majority of films being made now.

This is a very entertaining movie and a C Clooney less than perfect looking is worth the price all Cohen movies are so good and thank you for your wonderful delivery service

An “Odyssey” type story set in the South. Humorous situations and dialogue. Terrific soundtrack. Specs on the A/V for the Blu-ray exceeded my expectations.

Originally owned this on DVD...had to get the upgrade to blu-ray. The story is silly but hillarious...and you'll catch yourself singing along with the Soggy Bottom Boys!

Never get tired of the song also i feel the dvd is the best version to watch for this type of movie highly recommend

I picked this up along with two other Coen brothers movies -"No Country for Old Men" and "Barton Fink". I love their quirky style and strange characters. This one is definitely one of their best.
