Customer Ratings & Reviews

The vanguard sunglasses are awesome. They are my first pair of any ai glasses, but I prefer the styling and the integration to certain fitness apps. Do research in to these if you want to buy a pair. The tech is rapidly improving, but it seems like ray-bans get more features and updates as far as new tech and software goes. The recording and pictures are very easy and come out nicely, but there are time limits for the recordings. As of now, there is no live-streaming integration and I’m not sure if there will be in the future. I hear if you are constantly taking videos and using the camera while tracking your fitness workouts, the battery can drain quickly. Ive used it sparingly, and the battery lasts a long time. The meta ai is up to par with the other ai models, easy to have conversation and very helpful tool when I need it anytime. The sound and sunglasses themselves are also great quality. Even if the battery is dead or off, I’ll still use them for the sunlight. Make sure to bring your charging case with you in most situations, you need the case in order to charge the glasses. Overall I am glad with the purchase and have been using them often for content and just as a helpful tool. I’m hoping they will improve any software updates so they are on par with the other glasses on the market, and I love the styling. If you can afford the price and really like them like me, then go for it. I’m interested to see when or any news on any new models

I’ve been really impressed with the Oakley Meta glasses overall. The build quality is outstanding, they’re comfortable to wear, and the camera and audio quality exceeded my expectations. Being able to capture photos and videos hands-free while using Meta AI has been incredibly convenient, especially for workouts, outdoor activities, and everyday use. The only reasons I’m giving them 4 instead of 5 stars are the battery life and the lens options. While the battery is decent for light use, it drains fairly quickly if you’re recording videos or using the AI features often. I also wish more models came standard with transition lenses. Having to choose specific versions or pay extra for that feature is disappointing, especially at this price point. Overall, these are innovative smart glasses that I use regularly and would recommend. If Meta can improve the battery life and make transition lenses more widely available, they’d easily earn a perfect 5-star rating.

Amazing performance perfect fit. Great charge life. Sound. And video quality amazing. Very good response

This isn't a pair of sunglasses. It's a cheat code for being human. I put the Vanguards on and instantly stopped being a guy out for a run and became the main character in a future sports movie. That aggressive Oakley wraparound with the Prizm 24K lens makes everything look sharper, richer, like someone turned the contrast up on real life. And then it gets ridiculous. There's a 12MP ultra-wide camera dead-center on the bridge shooting crisp 3K video with a massive 122-degree view, so what you see is what it captures. Open-ear speakers pump music that you can actually hear at 30mph because of the wind-killing tech, five mics pick up your voice clean, and it's all sealed up with an IP67 sweat and water resistance rating. The party trick? It's a real training partner. 32GB of storage on board, and it syncs straight to Garmin and Strava to overlay your distance, elevation, and stats on your footage. I yelled "Hey Meta, take a video" mid-stride and kept moving. For $499, you are not buying smart glasses. You are buying superpowers that happen to look like Oakleys.

Fantastic fit and sound! The wrap-around design of the Vanguard style makes a huge difference in audio quality and comfort. These are sleek, the blue lenses look great, and they offer superior protection. Easily my favorite pair of Oakley Meta glasses out of the three that I own!

These glasses are a great mix of design and functionality. The lenses are sharp and handle bright light well, and the frame feels sturdy but comfortable. The built-in audio works well for music and calls, and the hands-free photo and video feature is genuinely useful. Everything is easy to control and integrates smoothly into daily use. Overall, a practical and well-executed product that delivers on its features. Picture edited only to hide our son’s face.

What can i say these glasses are awesome well built and durable. Ive had them for about 6 months and ive dropped them twice by accident of course no damage and they are still working properly. I love the fact that i can enjoy recording something i want to see in the first place. I dont have to deal with having my phone on my hand and making sure my phone is pointing to the correct frame , its different when you see it with your own eyes as apposed to staring at the phone screen making sure the camera is pointing at the correct frame. Battery last long if you are doing a few recordings and voice commands. Battery charges so fast 50% in less than 10 min

The absolute BEST Meta smart glasses out there. I have both the Rayban Meta Gen 2 and these. The Vanguards are better in every way. The battery, volume, and fit are all so much better. I have used these to mountain bike, run, and ski- and in every instance the volume is more than enough, the high res centered camera catches exactly what I want every time, and they do all of it without sliding off my face. If you are wanting to do anything outside I would truth these over the Raybans every single time.

Video and sound quality are great. Lenses work very well in very bright and low light, such as indoors, allowing effective vision. Interface through buttons, touchpad and the AI assistant are very efficient. Most comfortable glasses ive ever worn. I wear them for at least 8 hours every day and never feel fatigued by them. Biggest downside? THEY ARE NOT WATERPROOF! I had to activate my warranty on my first set because the microphones that record during video recording stopped working, likely due to sweat ingress. If i could get in the water with these I would never take them off.

Excellent product! Great purchase. The sound quality, image, and color are all amazing. Everything works perfectly. I highly recommend it!

I love my Oakley Vanguards. If you are active outdoor person these sunglasses offer great eye protection with really good tech inside. The camera captures awesome video quality up to 3- 5min of recording.I work in blue collar trades and the Safety ratings are ANZI Z87+ meet OSHA requirements.I can listen to music answer phone calls with out touching my phone. I also sync my Garmin 8 smart watch to the glasses for fitness updates when im working out very cool features.I love the A.I built in the glasses for asking complex question or it tells me what I'm looking at thru the camera. The lens perform really good in the rain with no fogging up. The Oakley Vanguards are also water resistant which is needed here in Alaska with constant weather shifts.I give these smart glasses 5 stars!!

I gifted my husband the Oakley Meta Vanguard Prizm glasses, and he absolutely loves them! He uses them to record his fishing experiences, and the video quality is amazing. They capture everything from his point of view, making it easy for him to relive and share his fishing adventures. The hands-free recording is especially convenient because he can focus on fishing without having to worry about holding a camera or his phone. The quality, comfort, and overall functionality make these glasses worth it. If you’re someone who loves fishing, outdoor activities, or capturing special moments, I definitely recommend them

These glasses last the entire day. The quality of the video and audio on these are amazing. Comfortable is very good. I recommend 100%

I love using these things. The video is amazing and I love listening to music and having situational awareness. I use them while mounting biking. They are comfortable to wear and stay securely in place over the rowdiness. However, I’ve had them less than 6 months and one of the speakers has stopped working. They can also be a pain to clean.

I bought these because I work outdoors with solar & it’s a loud, bright environment & always need to be able to hear, so putting earbuds or headphones on were a no go, also a lot of our projects are a first, so being able to capture & record hands free has been a big help & also on those bright sunny days where the sun tries to look you directly in the eyes also helps a lot with not having to squint & people can’t see you. Also handsfree music, talk to the Meta Ai. Anything. You can think of in the world & its battery life is very fair, and also for those times you just want to use them for shades & nothing more you could just power them off that way the battery isn’t just running. Best glasses ever.

These are excellent. Fit very comfortable and secure. The video is crisp and the center camera works great for recording with a baseball hat on for POV video. The speaker volume exceeded my expectations and you can hear your surroundings

Very durable quality is super nice, i loce listening to music with the glasses and taking videos of my trips, this glasses are awesome

Great sound, love how the shades wrap around your face! Love the meta features and ability to record my golf shots!

These are surpassed my expectations on the video quality and sound. This thing picks up audio and takes videos better than my iPhone17 pro max (minus the zooming in features iPhone provides, it can’t beat that, but if it’s a close up picture video, it sure does!)

Beatiful glasThese are the best glasses I've ever bought; they meet my needs perfectly and take excellent videos and photos. Thanks to Best Buy for carrying this product.
