I bought this to hold my IPad...I have a small apartment and with small apartments come minimal counter space...I have a lot of recipes booked marked on my IPad that I refer to while I'm cooking....this stand allows me to refer to my recipes without my iPad being in the way....I love that I can clamp it onto a shelf in my cabinet...or my kitchen island...even onto my bakers rack...or even onto the desk...it's so easy to lock and unlock...it has a very sturdy clamp....just be sure to make all your adjustments to the claw that hold your tablet before you put it up....you don't want to drop your tablet....

The Lynx Stand that I purchased for my IPad did not work as well as I had expected based on the product description and reviews I read before purchasing it. It was difficult to attached to my elliptical and would often become loose.
