The first one was fantastic. Its sequel follows the path to success and continues to add to the formula. While set in the dame universe, the game can be played completely seperately with no background required. The mechanics are straight forward turn based combat with a frw twists to keep any fan, new and old, on their toes. Theyve added several new mechanics, while not taking away the shine that made the first so delightful.

Having already enjoyed the first game, flaws and all, I was impressed how the second one not only exceeded expectations, but has become one of my favorite RPGs of all time.

This game is marvelous. GREAT storytelling. The playing style is nostalgic to the first turn based RPGs. Overall a MUST PLAY for any player that likes Square Enix games and loves Classic RPGs.

I didn’t think this game would live up to OPT1’s gameplay and story, but not was I wrong.

It was so much fun and much better than the first game. I would recommend this to anyone!

The 2nd installment of a great RPG game. Great graphics, great story, and great sound.

Love this game to death. Fabulous art style and even better than the first one.

This game slaps. It's dripping with that 2.5D graphic overlays when you are traveling around the world. It's great for the younger players that can't enjoy the pixel-era rpg's due to the visual limitations.

Having adored the first game, Octopath Traveler II was an excellent successor to the first, fixing some issues I had with the first, while keeping the vibe and style I fell in love with back in 2018. I would highly recommend this game! If the series continues down this path, I can’t wait for Octopath III!

Amazing gameplay, graphics and story. A fantastic RPG

Gameplay is crisp. A couple of new features to build off the original. So far, this version can be played without purchasing the original, no story is lost and tutorials handle all the appropriate game mechanics. Lots of characters and new ways to explore and interact with the world. Very enjoyable game and plays great in docked mode or handheld.

I enjoyed OT2 way more than OT1. I have 45 hours on the game and finished three stories in clouding Hikari, Osvald and Castti. I wouldn’t say that the stories are the best (I felt the endings a bit disappointing for all three), but the game is def worth playing!

I have not yet played this. I’ve heard they signicantly improved the character interactions and their integeration into the overall story. The lack of this in the first is why I could never get into it — and the addition of it in the sequel is why I pulled the trigger. Cant wait to eventually play it!

This game has been amazing so far. The sequel to the first OT has been meeting the expectations and criticisms from the first game. The graphics have been refined a bit more since they have been more available for other platforms. I highly recommend anyone to pick up this game and give the first one a try and get this one too!

Whether you liked the first Octopath Traveler or not, you will definitely like the second game, it improves on everything of the first game and more, there is a demo as well that covers all the Characters’ first chapter(s), so you can try it out with that, and it carries progress over to the full game!

Great follow up game however please play part 1 to fully rnjoy part 2.

If you liked Octopath Traveler, this one is even better. It feels less grindy, there are stories that combine characters, interesting hidden jobs, and ending that ties everything together with a fun and challenging end boss that lets you use all your characters, and a really nice sendoff.

Very good game. Sequel to a very good game. Recommend
