I did cancel my order on best buy since I found it at a Micro Center in stock. Anyways the headset it simply amazing. The wireless VR experience is what I was waiting for. While the battery only last about 2 hours you can rock a power pack in your pocket to keep going but 2 hours in VR is a lot for most. The speakers on it are meh, better off with good set of headphones. BUT despite those two things, the great experience out weighs it all. Definitely recommend as a stand alone unit but even more using virtual desktop. Works near flawlessly!

What people are saying in the reviews is true! This headset is incredible. Screen quality is amazing. The controllers are amazing and truly feel like they’re part of your body because you control them so swell, in fact, I guarantee that you’ll start using natural 20 seconds after the tutorial explains how they work! Graphics are really good and optimized to show the best even with limited hardware resources. I would always get this over psvr because that headset is outdated and the quest has way better tracking, screen quality, freedom from any cords. Comfortable.

This thing is great. As an Oculus Rift owner, this Oculus Quest improves on the former in quite a few ways. Pros: • It's portable! My number one reason to own the Quest. Take it anywhere, no PC, and practically no setup needed! • The resolution is much higher than the Oculus Rift, and easy enough for seemingly anyone to read text and see details. • Beat Saber on the go! This game is fantastic, and the Quest makes it portable, so you can easily show your friends, family, and co-workers how easy and intuitive VR can be. Cons: • It is a bit front heavy. So far, my wife and I have found the Quest to be a bit front-heavy. This can and has lead to shorter playtimes due to discomfort on the head and neck. I plan on looking into a third-party solution to the weight distribution. • Still not enough room for my glasses. The Quest comes with a glasses extender insert, but it's still not enough for my quite large glasses. Not a deal breaker, as the previously mentioned increased resolution over the Rift has enabled me to see in much better detail, even without glasses, but it would be nice to be able to wear my glasses. I will likely be getting a set of prescription lense inserts. • Controller tracking isn't as great as it is with the Rift sensors. It does a pretty great job, don't get me wrong, but it's not perfect. Some songs on Beat Saber are making me adjust my arm movements due to the lack of tracking behind the back movement, and some spots just stop tracking. It's not terrible, but it can be noticeable. All in all, I would say, the Oculus Quest is definitely worth it. I am a HUGE fan. I cannot wait to see what the future of VR will bring! If you enjoy gaming, or new technology, or want that WOW experience, or want to sweat like crazy while chopping blocks with laser swords, get the Quest. 10/10 would recommend.

This isn’t gen 1.5 it’s more like gen 1.9 VR. Super easy set up, ultimate portability. With a little bit of technical know how and a good enough PC and WiFi router you can even play Steam VR and Rift games on it wirelessly with almost no downgrade in graphics or performance. The quest is the best headset for VR Beginners and for those of us who were on the first wave of the technology as it achieves the dream of VR better then anything else out there right now.

If you’ve never experienced VR before; Videos on YouTube and other people’s descriptions won’t do it justice. VR is truly awesome. So much fun to play or watch solo, or as a group. VR Netflix and YouTube are so cool, and are clear and focused. Four hundred dollars is well worth it on this Product. Easy to setup and maintain. Feels intuitive to use the controllers, and the games on the oculus store are cheaper than I anticipated. If you’re on the fence about purchasing this, I understand, but I can tell you, you won’t be upset once you’ve experienced Oculus Quest.

Awesome VR headset compared to a lot of others. It’s comfortable enough for extended use and it’s great that it’s wire free! I would definitely recommend this to anyone looking to get into VR for the first time or if you are looking at upgrading headsets. The screen door effect is not bad at all and you hardly notice it after starting a game or movie etc. Overall it’s a really great headset that I can just quickly pick up when I want to play.

I bought the Oculus Quest primarily to use as a review unit for work on rapidreviewsuk.com. I love how easy it was to set up and get into gaming. The only downside is having to share with my daughters. The headset and controllers are sturdy and well made. The craft and care in the Oculus UI/UX and the game library which is growing all the time is great. If you can afford to jump into gaming in VR do it. Units sell out fast. My only regret is not going for the 128gb model, but I can uninstall and reinstall games as needed.

I bought an Oculus Go in April unaware that the Quest was a month away from release. The Go is cool but being an impulse buy I hadn’t done any research. I quickly realized that the Oculus Quest was more what I was looking for in a VR headset which is being focused around gaming. VR headsets that required a gaming PC is ridiculous money. I could never afford one. The Oculus Quest however was a way i could finally experience VR/VR gaming. Even though I had to buy it with my Best Buy card I am glad I did. The Oculus Quest is soooo cool especially being a VR noob. It’s an eye opener to the potential of this technology. Incredible potential & thoughtful of Mark Zuckerberg to make a true stand alone VR headset that is more affordable to average people. Now I am totally on the VR bandwagon & it would be a shame for this technology not to succeed. The biggest thing for me is just waiting for more Oculus exclusive games to be developed and released. It’s new so yeah it needs more games; especially console type tactical shooters etc. which I suspect they are working on now. The debut games for the Oculus Quest are definitely adequate while the system gains momentum/ more games. Star Wars Vader Imortal, Robo Recall, Super Hot VR, & Beat Saber are what i have and are an absolute blast to play. Don’t let snobby VR gaming pc fanboys deter you from buying the quest. No it doesn't have gaming pc quality graphics but games still look good, and your not tethered to a gaming pc with a wire. That alone makes the Oculus Quest a TRUE virtual reality headset. If your on the fence then go for it. I like my Xbox One and PS4 but this thing is just cool.

This is my first VR headset. I wanted something that was independent of a PC and this fit the bill. The price was reasonable ($400) and the headset is great. It provides a true since of immersion. When playing games with motion like flying, etc, you feel it. The graphics are very good and clear. The hand controllers are accurate and responsive. If there is any complaint it would be the headset gets a little uncomfortable after wearing for a while, but that is the case with all these VR headsets. Overall I am very happy with this purchase.

Wow. An all-in-one headset that has good graphics on it's own (with a decent battery life and good portability) that can also plug into your PC and act just like a Rift S. After one month with the device, it's pretty incredible how it feels to actually use it. Loading up something like Beat Saber or Pistol Whip is a real treat. Works great with the Oculus Link to my PC as well (I've used both the excellent if pricey official cable and a cheaper 3rd party one with no issues) to play games like Stormland and Echo VR.

This device does exactly what its supposed to. It brings in alternative reality to life with a simple click of a button and the sliding on of the head piece. Your very quickly brought into another world an thats before you've even started playing any games. I've set up my perimeter boundary an just sat an chilled in the cabin just taking in an viewing the snow covered mountains numerous times now. This item is a must for quick get aways without the time expensive of real time travel.

I must say I have never been able to try VR before this moment and this device wowed me. I have showed this device to many people and they either asked for the price or said with certainty that they would get this device. The tetherless aspect of this device makes it very appealing and increases immersion, the setup is easy and straight forward and you don’t need any external sensors, any PC, or any wires. Truly the future of VR.

I love these things they are not meant to be like real life yet when you put them on for the first time the intro itself was worth the money it blew me away. I never would have thought it be so awesome and was worth every penny. If you are thinking of buying it I recommend it 100 percent and more games are being added all the time. I don't use it all the time but when i play it i play for like 3 hours. The only issue is the battery is a little lower it lasts about 4-5 hours so have to charge it all.

I had intended to get try one of these out when they came out earlier this year. Best Buy sold out pretty fast then I just kinda let it go. Fast forward 6 months & I decided to try the Samsung Gear VR for my S10. It was really cool so it made me wonder if the Quest was better. I went get the Quest the very same day. I was immediately blown away! The first things that I started doing was watching sports. I attend 7-10 sporting events every year. The VR sport experience is better than being there in many ways. The boxing puts you right inside the ring, the basketball right on the court. It's my hope that all sports events are broadcast in VR within the next 5-10 years. I then got into watching movies. The viewing experience is like your sitting in a movie theater all to yourself. From Netfix to Amadon Prime to steaming vids in the browser, you can watch them all on the big screen. The games are actually pretty cool but I haven't really gotten into them yet. Being able to link this to your pc was the impetus for me to buy a higher-end gaming pc just this month. I intend on connecting my Quest and exploring the games a lot more next year.

Picked this up on a whim, have not put it down since! I was worried the graphics would suck as it uses a mobile chipset found in crappy cellphones. Fear not, the graphics are great for what this offers, which is untethered VR. They should have just loaded Beat Saber on this device as it is probably 90% of what we use it for. I won't get into the hacks like being able to use this for Steam VR wirelessly (you can) or being able to side load a ton of great VR apps (you can). Why? Because what is on the Oculus store is honestly pretty good. Battery life is around 2.5 hours on the headset. You will get similar with cheap batteries on the controllers (get rechargeable) or two months if you spring for good lithium batteries. They just use standard AA batteries. If you have a lousy home theater, you can watch movies on the big screen in this thing. Neat? Yes. Crystal clear 4k quality? um.. no. Closer to 1080p with a screen door effect. Not sure why, maybe the OLED pixel layout. I see more screen door on tv or movies than on games where its barely noticeable. I have to say this, untethered VR is clearly the future for this medium. Going back to being tethered felt like a huge hassle. This would have been the must buy for 2019 had it been able to do both wireless and wired VR. As it is, its a pretty great device and is a whole lot of fun. Its also nice that you can simulcast what your seeing in VR to a nearby tv so other people can watch as you take turns playing. One final note, the sound comes out of the headband and is funneled towards your ears. You have 0% isolation from this and everyone around you can hear EVERYTHING! So um, be aware of who is around you based upon what your doing or watching. Suffice it to say someone walking in during the wrong scene in the wrong movie or TV show can lead to some awkward conversations. The thing has headphone jacks, maybe utilize these when doing a solo activity...

The feeling of tetherless vr gaming is unparalleled. The quest is an amazing entry point into vr gaming or for somebody like me that isn't hardcore into vr but likes to casually use the technology. You can get the 128gb version for extra storage but I don't feel like I need it. I have multiple games and, with my experience, those games don't take up a lot of space. (Pistol Whip, Beat saber, In Death:Unchained, and Super hot).

I bought this item for my wife as an anniversary gift (best gift ever for the both of us), beats any diamonds or clothes. Anyways the Quest is awesome. I first played VR on my brother's Rift and I was addicted. Got my wife to try it, and she got addicted too. So after I got this I realized it's a system that we both love even more than the Rift. It's fun and gets you sweating like crazy. Get it for your significant other as a gift and in reality it'll be a gift for you too!

I have been using Oculus Go since last summer, and it was sensational when I first started to use it. Yet, I had a little dissatisfaction for it's capability. Oculus Go only gave ability to sit and watch the photos, videos and limited capacity games. I could not move around. When Oculus Quest was announced, I was very curious yet I was not sure if I should buy it or not when it came out to the market. The price is not that low, and I was not sure if it was worth the cost. I was attending a corporate event and won a gift card amount $300. I knew what I was going to use it for right away. Very next day, I went to Best Buy and grabbed one unit of Oculus Quest. It was another eye opening experience. The picture was even better than Oculus GO. I could not believe that I could hold something in the VR world. I was totally hooked up and tried all the demos available. I purchased a couple of games. Using it reminded me when I used XBOX Kinect for the first time. The difference is that I was in the game with Oculus Quest, while my shadow was in the TV screen wit Kinect. I was actually hitting, cutting and shooting with Oculus Quest. It was stunning experience. My only complaint is that this does not have much of sitting down apps like Oculus Go. If I can use Oculus Go apps in Oculus Quest, that would be so great.

The Oculus quest is pretty impressive for a guy coming from the cv1 Rift of last year. Oculus has really simplified the process of playing VR. Put the head set on an you are almost ready to go. The unit goes into standby mode when you take it off your head. You can create some big playspaces with the inside out tracking. The Quest has you simply draw out a play space on the floor and then a virtual fence appears and then your surroundings change to the homescreen ( you are now in cabin somewhere like Norway and the Aurora borealis is outside!) Playing games like Beatsaber and Pistolwhip are really fun without a cord and you can really work up a sweat. I've seen other posts about folks in the military with front heavy night vision headsets use a counterweight on the back to balance them out for comfort. I would highly recommend doing that and I bought 10k Mah battery pack to do that. It works really well. You will also want some self stick velcro and a magnetic breakaway cord to connect it, After using theses mods the Quest is much more pleasant to use for extended periods. To those complaining of price. I think the quest is worth much more considering the massive amount of engineering involved in bringing this to market. The games might be priced a little higher for that reason.
