One of the most well written shows ever.

One of my favorite shows. If you like the U.S. version and can appreciate British humor you will love the U.K. version. Instead of trying to stretch the show out they kept it to two seasons which was perfect. There aren't any filler episodes and every bit of dialogue invokes some sort of reaction in the viewer. Waiting to do the Christmas episodes a year later was a clever idea and makes for a fitting ending to a wonderful show.

If you like the American version of The Office, check out this original British version. The American version has thankfully developed its own identity, so you can still appreciate the comedy and fine performances of Ricky Gervais, Lucy Davis, Martin Freeman, and Mackenzie Crook. One need not work in an office environment to appreciate the show's humor. There are few shows that are laugh out loud funny, but thankfully this is one of them.

This show is equal part humor and depression, which makes it the best show ever. Take Alan Partridge and give him a terminal disease, that's basically this. Sad, realistic, and at times hilarious.
