    Maybe not a cinematographic work of art, or great acting, but I enjoyed its quirkiness and the inevitable results of "simple" plans (of revenge).

    Here's a movie that is a cult classic and highly-regarded comedy, but still doesn't receive the praise it should from serious film enthusiasts. Mike Judge directs his script confidently, with brilliant cinematography and mise-en-scene, and fluid editing. The performances are excellent and spot-on. The movie falters in its third act as it becomes more of a heist movie rather than pursuing the existential and philosophical questions it initially stirs, but it is nonetheless a great film. The special features are not bad; there are a few documentary/interview things with some of the cast and crew, and a bunch of random 'games' that you can presumably play on your Blu-ray (I never bothered). But the picture quality is good and $5-6 is a small price to pay for a film you'll want to revisit again and again.

    This movie was funny but it wasn't super hilarious. I think it was on the right track. They didn't overdue the comedy. I thought it was good.
