    Great CD of an excellent concert! I bought my first Deep Purple lp 1968. The lead singer on the first lp was Rod Evans. Evans was later replaced with Ian Gillan. This live concert has Gillan on vocals in a few extra long renditions of classic Deep Purple songs.

    If you are an old school Deep Purple fan, you may need to get this. This live album from a performance before DP hit big with Machine Head. At this time DP was extending their songs with keyboard and guitar solos. Ritchie Blackmore's solos are superb. Sound mix is not great as the recording is from a radio broadcast.

    Deep Purple from '68 to '73 was rivaled by only Led Zeppelin and Black Sabbath. This show from that era is definitive proof that they were deserving of the acclaim that they received.

    This wonderful live CD showcases the band just prior to exploding world wide. Considering the recording source this CD sounds great.

    This is a fantastic show from the classic and best version of Deep Purple. All five members delivering their best performances. I have several shows very similar to this show, similar in the sense that there are few songs in the set and they generally lapse into long improvisations. On this night the lads were on fire. Worth the price for "Child in Time" alone.
