Yeah, this is actually good as that commercial that brought you here said. You know which one. It is very slim and is actually fun to use and show off. The way it connects is a little weird. The magnet on the back (for iPhones) by itself won’t hold up entirely. There is an adhesive (sticky goo) on the back which makes it stick and doesn’t come off (unless you’re actually trying and that’s kind of on you if you’re trying). I haven’t had any issues with it. There are some points where the closure doesn’t come out as fluidly as I want. But it doesn’t actually inhibit usage. I can’t speak to other phones but for iPhones it has been really cool.
MagSafe products do work. I have the MagSafe wallet the newer one that isn’t leather and is gross and weird…. Not the point, the MagSafe wallet works really well. It seems like it actually is stronger than the original MagSafe magnets. But either way it works and is nice.
I do recommend.

So here’s the thing - I’ve had iPhones for a long time but never had a pop socket attached to any of them. Then I walked into Best Buy one day looking for a product exactly like this, and for the most part I love it. You do have to be particular about what case you’re sticking it too, or else it won’t stay attached. I really can’t comment on what material works best with it, but I’ve tried attaching it to cases with clear plastic backs and a case with a matte finish back and it only worked with the case with the matte finish back. It does heat up a bit when you charge your phone with MagSafe which in turn heats up the adhesive that attaches to your phone and it will fall off. I’d call that a bit of a design flaw, but again, it depends on what kind of case you’re using it with. Maybe in future versions the company can improve the quality of the adhesive used to where it won’t fall off as easily if it does get hot while charging. With all of that said, I’d still recommend the product and I do love it and it’s clever design a lot.

I'm loving this phone grip for how thin it is and for the ability to use a wireless charger without having to take it off, like I had to with my old pop socket. Just make sure that you have a magsafe case on your phone, otherwise it will get super hot! Because it's so thin, it does tend to feel a little flimsy, but it is very comfortable and so far it's holding on great.
Thanks so much for all your support and your review! Yes, with wireless charging, case thickness is actually the main culprit when it comes to heat production. We recommend cases that do not exceed 2.1mm in thickness. Thanks again for the review!

I bought this to add Magsafe compatibility to my Android phone without changing cases. The stand and grip features are clunky/awkward, but my mission was accomplished.

It feels flimsy right off the bat. I like how it functions and the idea of it but it is not durable. Cosmetic scratches accumulated first, then it started folding weird so it wouldn’t always lay completely flat & the stand only worked one direction, and now the top fell of which makes it unusable. For the price I wanted it to last longer than a year but at least it has a year long warranty. IF YOU DO DECIDE TO GET IT: save the order confirmation email, receipt, as well as anything you might need for the warranty. I just requested a new one through the warranty so it might last another 6-7months. Wish it would’ve lasted longer considering the price.
Hey RadReview - Thanks so much for taking the time to leave a review on our product! Every bit of feedback is helpful and we appreciate you as a customer. We're sorry to hear that you're not satisfied with the durability of the product. We will definitely replace the defective item within warranty if you reach out to our support team! We also appreciate you leaving advice for any other customers experiencing issues with their product. Thanks so much again!

Originally having the Snap 4 and loving it I wanted to update to the Snap 5. It has. It had any issues with staying attached on my iPhone. No sticky residue when you want to remove it. Now, you can’t (like who really would) go crazy flinging your phone around seeing how strong the magnets are, as they definitely are strong enough and hold well enough that you can be confident your phone won’t fall. Snap 5 still has the great features when it comes to rotating, grip choices and using it as a stand.

Saw it as an instagram ad at first. Reason I was interested was really because wireless charging works even when it’s stuck on as I have a MagSafe mount in my car. Add in the pop socket esque handle it makes passing time in the bathroom a breeze. And then the kickstand is basically the cherry on top as flying on planes and watching movies or shows is comfortable. I got the black version although I will add that it does seem to scuff not necessarily easy but does eventually and the scratches are noticeable as it basically taking the paint off so you can see the silver under. Other than that it’s durable and cool. Wish it was a little cheaper but it’s cool.
Thanks for the detailed review! We're really glad to hear you're enjoying the magnetic grip's versatility — from car mounts and wireless charging to hands-free viewing on flights. It sounds like it's become a great everyday companion! Noted on the scuffing — that kind of feedback is valuable and will be passed along. I love this thing!! I’ve been using OhSnap for a while but this is my favorite one! The fact that it’s magnetic is a game changer!! I can take selfies with my kids almost anywhere. Coolest mom hack! The ergonomics of it are just right too… like a mini hug around my finger. Who doesn’t want a finger hug? Get one and thank me later :)
Hi Lmichelle, best review ever, thank you so much! The days of awkward phone propping up for selfies are over.

This is the absolute best phone grip, and I’ve tried a bunch over the years!!! The OhSnap Grip is super thin, so it doesnt buldge out at all! The magnets make it possible for MagSafe passthrough charging, so you no longer have to take of your phone grip to use MagSafe power banks or charging stations! It even sticks to ant metal surfaces! It takes some getting use to but after getting familiar with it, its super easy to use and I cant see myself using a different phone grip ever again!!! 10/10 would recommend!!!

So far the best grip on a phone I’ve used. It’s entirely unobtrusive and never snags on anything - slides perfectly in and out of my pocket. I’ve used pop sockets before but they were too bulky for my liking and this is perfect for me.
One thing I will note is if you tend to chew/trim your nails very short you will have a tough time disengaging the magnetic latch to open it. You just about have to have a bit of nail to leverage it up consistently since it sits flush with the magnetic ring.
Hey Farsayl! Thank you for your feedback! We're thrilled to hear you’re enjoying the grip and its sleek design. Your note about the latch is super helpful and I've sent it up to the team to review as they're always working extremely hard on making the grip better and better. Really appreciate all of your support!

Overpriced Phone Grip with possible NFC issues

Super strong magnet, nice sleek design with almost no additional bulk being added to the phone. I did have an issue with it interfering with NFC and would need to remove it for NFC to work. Not sure if is a combination of using a magnetic case with the Snap 4, but NFC worked fine once I removed the Snap 4 from the case. I do think the product is overpriced for what it is, and it does feel kind of cheap. Unfortunately, there isn't anything else out there that is this thin.
Thank you for your thoughtful feedback — we’re glad to hear you liked the strong magnet and sleek, minimal design! We’re sorry to hear about the issues you experienced with NFC interference and the overall product quality. It's true that in some setups (especially when combining a magnetic case with the Snap 4), the added magnetic layers can disrupt NFC signals or reduce performance. Your experience helps highlight an important consideration for others who rely on NFC. If you'd like assistance with a replacement or more tailored recommendations for improving compatibility with your current case and phone, please don’t hesitate to contact our support team. We’re always happy to help troubleshoot and make things right. We appreciate you giving it a try and taking the time to share your honest thoughts!

Seems pricy at first, but honestly it is a must have for MagSafe phones. Wicked thing, none intrusive, works as promised and comes with its own manufacture warranty.
For me this beast out the large pop sockets all day long. Can barely tell it is there and it functions with wireless charging. Gonna be buying a couple more for my work phone and family.
Thanks so much, Michael! We're glad you're loving how seamless and functional the Snap Grip is—great to hear it's winning over your whole lineup!

I thought it was an ok product as it is expensive but until now I am using it still jumping from one case to another. This is very robust and feels like a quality product with aluminum parts that shows very little wear. Quite slim and have very strong magnets, very good for car mounts and wallets. Even better if you can buy it on sale, for full price its an OK purchase.

I have tried several brands of phone grips and this is the best. Very thin. For my needs it is perfect.

I like this product for the limited size it takes up on the back of my phone. Could be softer to the touch where you put your finger. Also when it is in stand mode it isn't that structurally strong, just kind of flows in and my phone falls. Also when your case has magnets in it, and this product that makes your phone magsafe. If you have both then wireless charging is a little on and off. That kind of defeats the purpose if i have to take off this grip to be able to wirelessly charge.
Thanks for the thoughtful review! We're glad you like the compact design. If wireless charging is being disrupted, it’s likely due to magnet stacking — especially with both a MagSafe case and grip. Using just one magnetic layer (preferably on a MagSafe case) usually improves charging reliability. We’ll also note your feedback on comfort and stand stability — it’s helpful as we continue improving. Feel free to reach out if you'd like help optimizing your setup!

As far as functioning as a pop socket, this thing works as advertised. Is sturdy enough as a kickstand and fairly comfortable to use. It's also very thin! The only downside is it doesn't seem to allow enough energy through it to charge an Android phone using a magsafe adapting case and portable magsafe charger. Without the socket installed the portable charger is more efficient.
Thanks for sharing your experience! We're happy to hear it works well as a grip and kickstand. We appreciate your feedback on Android MagSafe charging efficiency — we'll pass this along to the team as we work to improve compatibility!

Best pop socket/stand. I have used over 5 different types and this is the brand I’m sticking with from now on. It’s so thin and the STAND JUST WORKS. Crazy how they were able to do all this with how thin it is. I just wish it came with another adhesive ring since the back magnet is so strong and sometimes it comes off but that is such a minor complaint when the rest of the product is this good.
Thanks so much for the awesome review! So cool to hear that we beat out the other 5 types of grips and we'll continue to work hard to add value and features. Thanks again for all the support! - ohsnap

its a high quality and very think grip
it works well with original Apple magsafe charger but when I attached my Belkin Qi2 magsafe battery pack it didn't charge.
if you don't use magsafe battery pack this is a great option, much thinner than popsocket but if you are a magsafe battery pack user then this won't work for you
reached out to ohsnap support, they said they can't promise the pass-through charging functionality on every manufacturer out there
Thanks for the detailed feedback—we're glad you appreciated the slim design and quality! You're absolutely right: while the Snap Grip works great with Apple’s original MagSafe charger, compatibility with third-party battery packs like Belkin’s Qi2 can vary. We appreciate you reaching out to support, and we’re always happy to keep improving based on insights like yours!
