This was a great purchase. When it first arrived I was surprised by how small it was. Has high capacity, acts just like a separate read/write drive when connected to my computer and produces recordings of high quality. Not up to CD quality but close enough for my purposes. I attended a church service which lasted for 2 1/2 hours and it recorded the whole thing without a hitch. I have used it for dictation and for vocal recordings. I didn't expect the vocal music recordings to be all that great but they were fine, more than adequate for my vocal rehearsal purposes. All in all the device was well worth its purchase price .

This is a great little voice recorder with great sound quality and ability to capture audio in rooms with noise. Recommend.

I bought this to record meetings, but also to record family history interviews with older relatives. It's great for that, but I keep finding other uses as well. For example, I was able to quickly make an MP3 from an LP by connecting the Olympus to my stereo and pressing record. It was easy to transfer and name the file on my computer through the USB connection. I am also enjoying the one-button recording of FM radio. Useful when you'd prefer to listen to a show later. Things I like best: - FM radio sounds great, has useful features - 8 GB internal storage holds a lot of recording - built-in speaker for quickly checking recordings - the battery is a standard AAA battery, rechargeable through USB - USB connector built-in, so no cable needed - bright red light shows you when you are recording or charging battery
