Olympus - VN-Series Digital Voice Recorder - Black is deceivingly good! I read reviews of it and was both skeptical and not expecting much out of it but I was surprised (in a good way)! I just wanted something simple and easy to use and it is! The sound is amazing, loud and clear with the ability to drown out extraneous background noise. The recorder is simple when needed and tiny enough to stick into a purse or pocket for ease of use. As I said in the title, this tiny machine is deceivingly good!

We bought this product to help a lady we knew use it when she went to the Doctor so she could record things the doctor might say she needed to do or not do. The product is extremely easy to use more than enough recording space and very easy to handle.

Used for several appointments and it clearly recorded the conversations which we were able to transcribe later for records. Great little machine!

I teach Spanish at a Christian elementary school with very small classes and I intend to use this to record the children's voices as they learn new Spanish words. They will love hearing themselves speak Spanish for the first times.

I bought this knowing that the sound files it digitally records cannot be copied to the computer but must be recaptured. What this means is that if you capture an hour of audio you will wait an hour playing that and recapturing it to the computer. Just be aware of that. I bought it anyway because of the price point. (It is annoying though.) I use this with a lapel mic and with the audio quality on the recorder set to high quality. With that the sound quality is very professional. I own another brand and the sound quality on that is just as good. I really think the mic quality is the key factor here. It works. Menu system is easy to use. Hold switch keeps buttons from being bumped. Comes with a small neoprene case.

This is a nice digital voice recorder. It works well and has a lot of features. It is also very easy to use and has a lot of space. I bought this to use at workshops and it records perfect even if I am sitting at the back of the class.

I purchased this recorder when I was unable to locate my older more expensive one. My previous model was also an Olympus and I have never had any problems. The sound quality was good for an inexpensive model. Originally I was looking at other models; however this one was on sale and an excellent price. It has worked well and met all my needs. I recommend this voice recorder for anyone looking for an inexpensive portable recorder.

I purchased this recorder to use for lectures in my class I attend & it was easy to setup and use.

I bought this for school and I am very happy with it. I use a different folder for each class which is very convenient. The playback is very clear, I can go back and listen to anything I missed in class. If you want a recorder that download to a computer buy another recorder. Otherwise this is a great value.

I purchased this recorder for my wife so she could record medical visits since you tend to forget everything a doctor says. This recorder was excellent with ease of use and excellent recording pickup and playback.
