I replaced my older model Olympus, which I loved, with this newer model and I have to say it's even better. Good sound quality, very intuitive controls, and the best part is it plugs right into the computer without needing any special software. My older model plugged into the computer, but needed software to download it. This newer one can be read just like a thumb drive, and the computer will download it and save it anywhere you want. I use free software to edit the files, and I could not be happier. Of course, it has a lot of features that I will get around to figuring out when I have time to sit and read all the directions, but in the meantime I was able to just take it out of the box and use it right away.

good features for the price. Can do PC transfer which is not available in some lower end models. Also has a simple mode which is easy to get used to. Can get into Advanced mode if you want to . Long battery, comes with Pc cable which is a bit too short, but you probably have similar cables already. Sound quality is above average. All in all, a good solid product.

Easy to use and efficient with good memory. This recorder replaces my Sony recorder and I know now that this Olympus recorder is much better made than Sony. I serve as secretary for several committees, and gratefully I find I can count on this recorder to give me good clear voices from the meetings I attend. I highly recommend it.

Pros: Battery life- on WMA setting easily last longer than 6 days with voice on record 24/7, Easy to navigate menu. Cons: When recording on voice on record there is a slight delay so you tend to miss part of the 1st word if people don't speak loud enough, instruction manual should have more details for each setting

This product works great and features are easy to use. I suggest an Olympus TP-8 Telephone Pickup Microphone if you're going to use this to record your phone calls. The sound quality is so much better than just using a speakerphone.

This recorder was very easy to use and the buttons were self-explanatory. It does a great job of picking up voices and has great playback. Highly recommended for the price!

I purchased this recorder for meetings, the inter meory is sufficent for long meeting however the upgradable micro SD option really increases the recording time. Recording quality is good

this handheld digital recorder is easy to use to dictate notes and easy to play back for transcription... I'd recommend this product for short dictations that need to be later transcribed, or for voice notes...

This is awesome for recording school lectures. I can slow it down so I can understand what is being said. Great product for the price.

It is easy to set up and record. I sing and it records really good from a distance so that I can listen and learn my music.

The item works very well, but the instructions for set up are terrible. There are gaps and language so confusing I had to return to the store for assistance. It has some very nice features, such as a voice activation mode, but you can't apply or use them without the special set ups, and those are unclear.

records well and clear. I thought it could be charged when battery died with the plug that came with it, but unfortunatly that did not work, so batteries do need replacement. But no complaints very easy to use

I use this for work. Microphone picks up great, its compact, and easy to use.

Works great so far, no complaints, my daughter uses it to record lectures and it has the ability to transfer recordings to a PC via USB which is nice...

purchased the olympus vn722 recorder for a class. this recorder was perfect on picking up on the speaker and when you playback the recording the clarity is good.
