I really love the shape, size and weight of this product. It's too bad that the complicated interface won't allow me to rate this recorder higher. After nearly 6 months I still struggle with finding my recordings on the machine. I'd love to name each file with recognizable descriptions and have not figured that out. The whole filing, saving, re-listening features make it almost impossible to use with full confidence. The recorder is so delicate that I have found it turned on in my purse. Have unlimited recordings of just noise. Also the quality of the output isn't very good. You actually have to record pretty close to the subject you are recording, otherwise you'll hear a distant, noisy echo when you play it back. If you buy this product just be aware of the high learning curve. I know I will master its use...eventually.

This recorder has great quality sound and easy to understand and use controls. Purchased to use for interviews, it is also a nice small size, so is easily carried in your pocket. Uses one AAA Battery that runs down quick so I recommend you use a rechargeable battery and keep an extra on hand.

This recorder is light weight and easily stored, has long batterie life, great playback sound with or without earbuds, and is easily navigated so I can get through all of my files.

I purchased this recorder last month and have recorded 5- 2 hour meetings on the batteries that came with the recorder. The built in USB is why I purchased this recorder. The playback is excellent as well as the downloading to a wave file. Owners manual was understandable and to the point on how to operate the recorder.

Excellent quality voice recorder, I have been recording my lectures and the play back is very clear. Very user friendly has A-E files. The only thing I would have an issue with would be that when I try and delete a recording even though I select the correct one, it deletes the last recording. Ive lost some good lectures that way.

It has good tonal quality, is able to record voice very well and has good sound play back. Is very easy to use.

Got some nasty Supervisors and Management on this little thing with no one knowing the better. You can also get an external microphone for it.

I baught another recorder and found it was a challenge to use. This recorder is small, light weight and has simple set up directions. Just my style.

Simply, easy, very clear, lots of features and settings. I love it.

Works as advertised. Simple to understand. I like that you can use rechargeable batteries if you choose. I also like that you can easily download files with the USB connection and you don't need any cables.

It's awesome. Crisp audio quality. Highly recommended. Plastic quality could be higher, but overall a great product.

I could have spent more, or less but this one fit my needs. Even recorded voices during a conference in Las Vegas. Uploaded to my hard drive for reference later. Well done.

Easily picks up voice and recorded voice. Transfer voice to PC works well.

WS-821 model is bare-bones; cheap plastic face. Recommended if you're satisfied with a VOR that's good for basic recording functions only. Not the clearest sound quality, even after setting the scenes to the particular event being recorded (Lecture, Meeting, Confererence, Dictation, Study). Doesn't have FM Radio option. Have to spend $20.00 more for the WS-822 & WS-823 Models that have FM Radio and more functions, features. The cheap plastic face scratches very easily, even when great care is taken to keep it stored securely when not in use. Olympus needs to use a better material for the face, so that the LED can be more easily visible.

This recorder does an excellent job for my church. We use it to record sermons, and then easily transfer them to my computer for copying. I highly recommend it!

Good unit if you want to record something easily!!

I'm not a tech person, but I found this recorder to be user friendly. It's compact size is handy, & the sound quality is adequate.
