I am liking this so far. Love having colors on the key board. Still learning the new system but over all happy.

Needed better graphics card for my cad. Worked out great not disappointed one bit everything I wanted.

Gift for my son .. I'm guessing he likes it. Hasn't stopped using it. Even skipped Jesus ..

Only reason I gave it 4 is cause it didn’t come with Microsoft word ect. Only a trial I guess.

Great starter computer for my 17 yr old. He’s super excited to receive it for Christmas.

I bought this laptop to replace my mid-2010 i7 Macbook pro which had a failing GPU. I wanted a 17" monitor due to my failing vision and I wanted relatively high performance, well, because that's just how I roll. This HP Omen was much more affordable than any new Macbook over 13.3". The 12GB of DDR4 is certainly adequate, thoguht 16GB would have been nice. It does not include an SSD which would further improve performance but it does have an open slot to add an m.2 SSD. The screen is not 4k, but 1080p is fine for me and it looks pretty good. The RX 580 GPU offers plenty of processing power for gaming. I haven't yet figured out all of the features and whether the keyboard backlight color can be changed but for the price I paid I think it was a good value. My biggest complaint would be that this laptop is quite heavy and perhaps is intended more as a desktop replacement than a portable laptop.

i went to best buy looking for a HP computer similar to this, after speaking to salesman I bought this computer. has more options and was actually cheaper then what I expected. also received free protection program. I use everyday with zero issues.

This laptop does a really great job at handling newer games. I'm not the kind of person that needs to carry around this laptop very often, so when I'm gaming I'll hook it up to a higher resolution monitor and play some Battlefield 1, Doom, or Prey on 1440p.

Exactly what I was looking for in a computer- Fast and efficient. I am not a gamer, so I cannot attest to its use in that arena. But, I have to have a dependable machine and wont slow me down for work. and this one has surpassed my expectations so far.

I was impressed with how good this HP omen ran most of games I had. Doom runs amazingly @1080p with a solid 110-130fps on Ultra and Nightmare settings. And it doesnt get very hot even when under intense workloads. For a price thats too good to ignore.

Absolutely an awesome buy. It has every feature that I need and want.

I wanted a gaming laptop not for playing games but for the performance. After reviewing many I decided on the HP Omen 17 inch screen laptop. My only minor complaint so far would be that the keys are not backlit.

Bought for some casual gaming and it works great. Added an additional 1TB HD and now it not only boots up faster but I also have twice the amount of disk space. Win-win
