Picked this from a list provided by my son--the computer was actually for him. The processor is 7th generation, it has plenty of ram, the graphics card is fine, and the machine is easy to work on if you want to add additional hard drives (which he did). Runs very quietly and isn't too big. We are very pleased with it.

This HP Omen PC is a great choice for serious gamers who don't want to spend the time and effort building their own rig. The NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1070 is an amazing video card, and could handle any game I threw at it! The included Terabyte hard drive and 16 GB DDR4 memory are more than capable, and there's plenty of room for additional drives and RAM. I would have preferred an SSD drive, but HP does make other OMEN models with SSD. The case on this unit is very attractive, and I like the additional ports on top vs being right on the front. And the color-changing light bar on the front is really sexy. The only real downside to this unit is the sound outputs are just standard 1/8" jacks, or the HDMI out from the NVIDIA card. No optical audio out. This was not a problem for me, but could be for some folks. All-in-all, a good deal for a very impressive gaming PC.

I'm not a gamer. However, I frequently have a suite of graphic programs open at the same time. My 2 yr old laptop (which was 'top of the line', when I purchased it) would bog down and occasionally crash. I needed something with a fast processor and superior graphics. I brought in my desired specs to a local Best Buy, and was disappointed by the lack of choices available in store. Luckily, I was assisted by a couple of helpful and knowledgeable team members. While looking at my options for special orders, I was asked if I'd considered looking at their gaming computers (which were in a different section of the store) since my desired specs matched very well what these machines had to offer. I had not - and my knee-jerk thought was 'no way'! However, after looking at the machines, I decided to take this one home. I have not been disappointed. It's handled everything I've thrown at it without a hiccup. As a bonus, it runs so quietly, it's hard to believe it's processor and fans are even running.

this is very good HP OMEN by HP Desktop: Stay connected with this HP Omen desktop computer. Its Intel Core i7 processor and 16GB of RAM keep complex programs running quickly, and its 1TB hard drive has plenty of storage for photo and music files. This HP Omen desktop computer includes an NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1070 video card for sharp graphics.

I bought this PC for my younger brother for a full upgrade from his current PC. It has played everything on ultra so far in 1920x1080 including early acess Player Unknowns Battlegrounds (Biggest Reason I Bought it) which is a very poorly optimized game. I would recommend anyone gets this PC for a great mid range/starter PC that will last a long time. The only complaint I have about it is the stock hard drive gives it a pretty slow start up and all of the HP bloatwear that comes with it. Once you uninstall all of the HP programs that you don’t want (All of them for me) then it is a great PC that just starts up pretty slow so I’d recommend throwing in some extra hard drives or keeping your games on a external drive so your boot time won’t take any longer.

The 16 GB RAM is fine for us and the i7-7700 processor is very good at this price. This system has lots of USB ports for all the stuff we need to connect, including some 3.0. It is only a 1TB Hard Drive but that is sufficient for our needs. A monitor is extra but non-touch screen worked well for us because our cat likes to rub on it while we work. We bought this system because a tower is easier to get local maintenance on than an All-in-One. It also has a better processor than you can get in an All-in-One. It has a light show on the front which I did not care for but there is software included that allows you to turn it off or select the colors you want. I had to contact HP about the lights and they were very helpfull

Paying $1099 for this gaming PC seemed to be a pretty good deal. Equal specs on Dell, HP and Amazon had similar if not the very same computer for at least $100 more. But I also received a free Dell Visor (windows mixed reality) with this PC for Free making it an incredible value. As for the PC itself, I've had it for about a month, so this is a short term review. I use it everyday and while I haven't pushed it too hard in terms of current games, I have had great success playing games at ultra setting without a single stutter. To be specific, I've played Bioshock remastered, Assassin's Creed Black Flag, and a few VR titles such as The Climb and Space Pirate trainer all silky smooth at max settings, So far It's quiet, fast and reliable. Plenty of ports in front and in back! Looks to be easily up-gradable too.

At first I will say I was skeptical because of this being an HP. But it was the only PC to include a 1070gtx with 8gb of ram along with 16gb of system ram and an i7 7700k in its price range. I've only owned the PC for a few weeks but my impression of it thus far is pretty decent. Boot times are quick even tho it does not have an SSD. As far as games go for the most part I only play World of Warcraft. I have it set to 10, everything max with ssaa8x aa and pull 120 frames in most areas. Densely populated zones I drop to 90ish. Not the best by any means but not horrible either. My main concern about this computer is the brand of parts used in it. And so far I've only been able to identify 2, the memory is micron, which is cheap... and the main board which identifies as an hp 830c. I'm going to stick with it for now and see where it goes, but overall im impressed so far.

I know I've owned this PC for a while. So of course some of the specs on this particular product will be a little out of date. This computer works well. I find that I have plenty of wiggle room with upgrades big or small! However there isn't an SSD installed standard on the machine so the hard drive itself makes the machine feel slow and clunky unfortunately. With a quick swap however, the machine was quick and responsive. It runs most modern games at max settings and if your in the industry or looking to try out any graphically heavy creation/animation stuff, this computer will do you wonders. I honestly have yet to have an issue with it.

I purchased this computer when it was on sale for $1,149 before tax. Given the current market on graphics cards, that is a steal considering it has a GTX 1070 with an i7-7700. The graphics card alone is going for around $700+ online and the processor is another $300 on its own when looking at the build piece by piece. Incorporate the motherboard, which I can admit isn't too good even thought it supports m.2 and has 4 dimm slots, and the memory and you'd be well over even what the non-sale price is going for. The only thing that I can complain about when it comes to this desktop is that the cable management could have definitely been better. Other than that, the performance is awesome! Overwatch at max settings, Fortnite at max settings, and oh yes, Roblox at max settings. If you are fine with not having RGB throughout the whole thing (the front panel has RGB) and no window on the side and just want pure performance for a good price, this is the desktop to go with.

Bought this computer to be able to stream and game on, and I can do both simultaneously without any issues. I run with three different monitors, and the PC handles them all smoothly. I usually am watching a twitch channel on the top monitor, playing PUBG on the bottom, and simultaneously streaming and watching my chat from the side monitor. Never have had an issue overloading the CPU, even streaming 1080.

After years of fighting with Windows updates I switched to a MAC about 5 years ago and thought I would never go back So I did some investigation and thought I might give this one a try as I had 14 days to return if it didn't perform. Shocked, this thing works like a Rock Star and puts on a performance from a Windows system that I haven't seen in decades. Next step will be to add another 16 GB of ram but even at the current 16GB it's running fast and can process a few items at once. I do a lot of Adobe Premier production and what used to take several hours to render now takes a matter of minutes.

I was originally going to build my own pc but I saw this one was on sale for cheaper with the same parts and I was amazed. And I ended up buying it and it’s played all the games I’ve thrown at it at ultra above 60 FPS like the Witcher 3 I would highly recommend this pc

This computer runs perfectly right out of the box. You'll be able to play any game, tender any object and be as creative as your mind wants with the Ram and Memory as high as any out of box tower you can get on the market, it's a safe bet you'll love it.

I usually build my gaming PC's and have about every 6 years or so since the mid 90's. I started shopping prices after picking out a range of parts for Processor, GPU, RAM, HD, Case, MB, Memory and realized very quickly that the skyrocketed GPU prices for anything near the top three performers on the Nvidia or AMD side was going to be about twice normal GPU prices. So I started looking at Pre-Built systems. The Omen was listed as on sale (-$100) and had everything I had priced out other than a SSD for the operating system. The CPU was a locked version (7700) but one up from the 7600K I had been looking for. The 1070GTX was a step above the 1060-6 gig I had been looking at as the video card. It came with 16 GIGS of Memory where I had planned on just getting a single 8 gig stick and finding a matching once memory prices returned to normal. So basically, this computer came in about $400 less than I could build one using a weaker GPU, half the ram and a slightly lower CPU that would have been overclockable. No Brainer! I have thrown all my old FPS's at it and it chews them up. COD2/3/4, MOH all play on high settings and well over 60 frames even in the toughest street fights. I'm playing a lot of SQUAD right now and it's in ALPHA testing and lets say not anywhere near optimized but still managing 60+ on high settings, and over 80fps in calm sections. I can run it in ULTRA but it will dip down to low 50's at that setting. Nice quiet PC, Fans do a nice job of keeping everything cool (I run MSI Afterburner to monitor CPU and GPU temps in the system tray). Low 30C-40C during non-gaming or mild games and never gets over high 50's C. Highly recommend this if your a serious gamer or the next OMEN up which comes with an SSD for the operating system and a memory card reader at about $100-$150 more. I bought my own and installed for about $80 including the mounting cage and cable.

I don't know how to build computers. I'm an outdoorsman, but I also like to play video games sometimes. This computer comes with everything I need to play the newest games and should last for several years. My last computer was an Hp Pavilion dating back to the start of windows 7. so this Omen is a big step up for me. I know this computer isn't the latest and is lacking some bits but its good for gamers who aren't capable of building a computer themselves, its also relatively cheap.
