This movie is probably one of Robert De Niro best gangster roles and the fact that he's Italian playing a Jewish man and made it very convincing the back and forth and the time jumps were great you got to see a young Joe Pesci and a young Jennifer Conley before they became household names and the great spaghetti western Director Sergio Leon' s ride off into the sunset

This is an excellent movie by the directory who made Clint Eastwood a star. The movie is a gritty, and thrilling portrayal of loyalty and betrayal among the gangster mobs of early America and should be of historical value to fans of Sergio Leone. It includes the same type of character as the Man With No Name, and has you both rooting for and disapproving of him.

I simply purchased this because I saw it in the $5.99 bargain bin. I had owned it on normal DVD for the longest time & simply wanted to upgrade the quality for cheap. It's nothing special, as far as extras are concerned, but there's a digital code. It serves its purpose in good, cheap entertainment!

This is a classic time-honored movie. Beautifully rendered on Blu-ray and meticulously renewed. The director's cut adds so much more to the story. If you're a fan of Martin Scorsese films this is definitely one to check out. The star-studded cast only adds to the incredible writing. I highly recommend you watch this

You really can't go wrong picking up this 2-disc Blu-ray for $5.99! Not only do you get the director's cut and the compromised theatrical version, but both transfers look better than ever. The commentary by Richard Schickel is predictably boring, but that's the only drawback. Otherwise, grab it while you can.

This is the extended version at 251 minutes definitely makes the story of Noddles and Max richer. Leone's final film of his career. For sure, collector's item, beautiful story of friendship and betrayal. Great cast....De Niro, Woods, Pecsi, Young and others.

Another De Niro Classic

This movie was released in 1984 so Robert De Niro was only 41 years old. James Woods also plays a key role in this movie. Very well rounded tale of youths turned to violence and criminal behavior and how it effected their lives. Directed by Sergio Leone, the movie seems a bit long but I think that was Leone's style as he wanted the viewer to have the full story.

Not as great as The Godfather trilogy but certainly a great film. Made by the director of A Fistful Of Dollars, A Few Dollars More, etc. He also made a great western called Once Upon A Time In The West (which is also great!). Interesting to watch a young Robert DeNiro.

If you like crime/mobster type sagas this is a good one.! Very long and you need to pay attention to really follow the story, but def worth a view every couple years and owning for your collection. Great acting and cast, James Woods outshines DeNiro in my opinion.!

This is one of my favorite all time movies. A brilliant masterpiece by Sergio Leone (of spaghetti western fame). Incredible cast, stellar performances, haunting score by Enio Morricone. I would put this up against the Godfather films any day. Just as epic!

Sergio Leone is a legend and this is his epic masterpiece of the early 1900's New York. He manages to encompass the era with the human emotion of trying to make it big with no compromise. De Niro and Woods are the perfect team. Buy this now!

I thought this movies was pretty good. Didn't really like the ending though. And it is very long. This blu-ray has extended footage that was not included in the original and when they play the footage it doesnt look good as the movie. The blu-ray verison didnt seem to be as clear as I hoped.

Yes it is long but great story and characters, if you like godfather series add this to your collection. Extra scenes added are not remastered but does add to the story.

How can you go wrong with this title?
We have mobsters starring the iconic Robert Dinero. A beautiful young ingenue to soften the blood infused tale of New York’s immigrants and how they leave a mark on history.
