This dvd I have been looking for a very long time. I have never found it until Best Buy. Price is right too

I saw this in a theater when I was a kid. Same director as better off dead, which is better, but for some reason I’ve always enjoyed this film. Blu-ray isn’t bad, just felt the colors were a little too over saturated but still not bad.

Absolutely absurd 80's humor with a touch of romantic comedy. The absurd aspects set this movie apart from other romantic comedies of the same era. Want to see a movie where someone in a Godzilla costume has a cigar thrown in the mouth causing them to flip out and destroy miniatures of the town during a presentation and causing absolute chaos? He's your movie.

I love old movies like this one. Better off dead, Space pirates, up the creek night of the comet.. always a treat.. I grew up in the 80's and love all these old movies

This is a classic! Director Sacage Steve Holland should be remebered just like John Hughes as an 80’s tenn movie maker! Just out your brain on pause and enjoy the movie! Even has Demi Moore!

This movie did not win any Academy Awards. It does have a bunch of stars before they were stars, see imdb.com. This is just a simple funny movie that the whole family can watch. Little disappointed there were no dvd extras, but this movie came out way before dvd.

Savage Steve Holland's second feature film is not quite up to par with his impressive and charming first movie titled 'Better Off Dead' (which happens to be one of my all-time favorites). Apparently, there was some distress on the set of 'One Crazy Summer' in regards to the relationship of actor John Cusack and Holland, as Cusack was apparently very unhappy with the final product of 'Better Off Dead.' Well, whatever the reasons are, Cusack doesn't shine in this film, as he did in the previous one, and it hurts the picture. Still, there are some great moments in this movie and the cast is exceptional. Recommended.

This is a good film, but Better Off Dead is a better one that is in the same intentionally corny style. If you have not seen Better Off Dead, I would suggest you get that first. If you have seen it and really liked it, then you should certainly get this movie too. The movie does have it's funny parts and certainly gives a nostalgic feel even if you've never seen it before because of it's ridiculously corny style.
