This was a pretty good movie, my wife and I liked it. It wasn't nearly as good as Takashi Miike's version by a long shot, but still good. Normally, I'm all for Japanese remakes because we have better special effects and better acting. The Japanese, on the other hand, have better imaginations and better storylines. So, when you take thier plots, and add our acting and special effects, it makes for a great horror movie. I'm a fan of Japanese horror, and in most cases, I've seen the Japanese versions before we remade them. Most of them are great and I have no complaints, (The Grudge 1 & 2, The Ring 1 & 2, The Eye, Shutter, etc.) But, in this case, I prefer the Japanese version because it has a more indepth plot and a better ending. This version was rather short and left some stuff out. If you saw this movie and liked it but didn't like the ending, I recommend watching Takashi Miike's version. But, this was still a good movie in it's own right. I highly recommend it!

Lets see where to start. This movie was a long over due origanial theme. I mean finally hollywood is not stuck in the same old killer thing. This movie gave you a easy story line, but it keep you intrested. While you can hear the final moments of all the victoms so you know when they are going to get it. Each one died in a different way and you never got what you thought was going to happen. I would tell my friends this movie finally made hollywood look good and if you like horror you will like this one.

The movie was great. The reason why this is so great is because everyone can relate to it because everyone nowadays has a cell phone, and at any time you can get a scary call that you don't expect at all. The ending did suck because it makes you want to say, "That's it?". I mean, the ending is so stupid, that you'd think there must be more, but there isn't. Overall, this is a great film, but if you are faint of heart or get freaked by death and stuff, don't see it.

i liked this movie but just like the Ring and The Grudge they arent originals these were all made in japan first and i guess hollywood liked them so they remaid them in english and sorry to dissapont but if u think that the new film coming out Shutter is an original then your wrong there to. But it was a good movie its just that a nother country beat us to the punch. lol

I thought this movie was a really on the edge of your seat thriller. Some good twists. The ending was not what I expected at all. h

I bought this movie because a friend told me it was good. I liked it, but probably should have rented it.

this movie was really bad. i have to give the plot some credit, though. I wouldn't have gone to see it in theatres if i didnt' think it looked good. But, when i actually saw it, it was BAD. There were some parts that were okay and some parts that were boring and confusing. The twist wasn't that great, either.

Liked the movie it was a good flick. I recommend it to others.
