If you're not familiar with the Warriors series, it's a series of games where you play as a super-powerful one-man (or woman; there are typically a large variety of male and female playable characters) army, who mows down large numbers of enemy soldiers in minutes on the battlefield. The challenge doesn't come from the combat as much as from time and resource management, as each mission gives you several objectives, such as ally characters to protect and enemies to defeat, and you must rush to complete them all. If you're not familiar with One Piece, it's an anime series about pirates, which is known for its over-the-top action and comedy, and has been running for the last 15 years. This game is a great introduction to both. Its story mode, while it does not cover every detail of 15 years worth of One Piece's story, it covers it in broad strokes and introduces all the major characters and events, giving a perfect jumping-off point to those who wish to learn more. As a Warriors game, it's stellar. The PS4 version can display around 200 enemies on screen at once, and the game uses that ability liberally, and gives you plenty of attacks that can clear it. Also, unlike most other Warriors games which are set in semi-realistic environments, which creates, at least for me, a sense of dissonance with the super-powered action, the One Piece setting completely matches the Warriors gameplay; it makes perfect sense that major One Piece characters would be able to blow away hundreds of soldiers with a single attack. One more thing, for veterans of the Warriors series: this is the first game I've seen (in my mainly recent experience with the series) that does not use how much damage you've taken as a factor in the ranking system! I can't tell you how happy that makes me, as in previous games (such as Hyrule Warriors) you could accomplish every objective in a mission with flying colors and pile up a mountain of kills, but if you took one too many hits, you would still be denied full rewards for the mission. This necessitated playing extremely defensively in order to ensure high rankings, which made the game less fun.

This game is great for fans of the series and first timers. The core gameplay is easy yet complex and unravels at a great pace. Tons of replay value and the dream log is even more fun. Dream log only works with local co-op but share play works great with friends who don't own the game and just want to jump in with you. Easily one of the more addictive games I played this year. I've been a One Piece fan for quite a while. So I've played quite a few One Piece games over the years. But none of them have captured the show as well as Pirate Warriors 3 has. Now, I haven't played the other two games in the series, but this iteration would be the one to jump in on. From the graphics to the fluidity of movement, from the presentation to the large number of cool characters to play with, this is the game One Piece fans should be playing.

This game is a must play if you are a fan of the animated series/manga. It has increased compare to the other One Piece Pirate Warrior franchised. Really love the game and can't stop playing it. Also the dream log is a perfect way after you beat the story mode. There you can unlock more different character and earn special coins.

The game does a very good job getting the most of the almost 800 episodes of one piece, the game play is really enjoyable and each character feels different, the strategy on the game is the same with each character, the difference relies on how each character attacks, the cut scenes of the real anime into the game makes it more exiting and overall is a very fun game.

If you're a fan of One Piece, you don't want to miss out on this big game! It's chockfull of content and all of your favorite characters. The Story/Legends mode goes all the way to Dressrosa, and the Dream Log lets you dominate islands with whatever character you want. There's a lot to collect and unlock in this game, as well as characters to max out. Tons of replay value if you're aiming for everything!

Awesome game for fans and great game adaptation. The game does a great job of making sure you get the anime experience and follows the story line well. There's hours of fun button combo bashing and non stop action. The game has many modes and collections to obtain. The characters make every battle awesome and repeating a stage is'nt dull. The stages and graphics are great for the ps4 for what they are.

The game goes over all of one piece so far except the latest arc but goes briefly through some arcs briefly through others. Great art style and the fun but repetitive gameplay known to the dynasty warriors. All of the characters are unique and play slightly different.

If you have played previous entries in the series, there may not be enough to warrant a purchase. However, if you are a new fan of the series, this game will keep you playing for hours. Koei took plenty of care to make the characters unique, and learning how each one plays is fun

I've played all of the pirate warriors and can say this is the best one by far. As a fan of One Piece the other titles either touched the story or was disconnected from it (which isn't bad) but this one delivers it and i cant be more satisfied.

For fans of the previous entries in the Pirate Warriors series, you're definitely in for a treat. Lots of new characters, new moves, and lots of collectibles. I've already put dozens of hours into it, and I'm still addicted!

My son is a big fan of One Piece the Japanese anime. When I showed him the game trailer he went bonkers. So of course I bought it. As it turns out this is a pretty good game. It's so good that I've taken to playing it with him. It's fun to play, visually appealing, and easy to learn how to play.

This is a good game not great just good! It could have been better but fell short! Ok controls, story and graphics not outstanding!! If you like one piece you will enjoy if not you should pass!!!

Bigger and brighter, with scores more enemies to defeat; this is the perfect distillation of the One Piece franchise into the familiar Dynasty Warriors mold. Third time is the charm, indeed!

This is good game but could use an empire mode, the flow was great but I would like to be able to use costumes on all maps. This is a good game whether you follow the series or not.

plays almost the same as the last one but it has more content and has the real story plus the other one too
