Truly The Best Of A Great Folk-Rock Duo
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.ONE TOKE OVER THE LINE: THE BEST OF BREWER & SHIPLEY is a great anthology by one of the top folk-rock duos of the late 60s/early 70s. It shows two young musicians acting very innocently and nonchalantly towards the rules of society, an attitude that, unfortunately, got lost in the ultra-conformist 80s. This CD will take you back to a simpler time before the suits took over music, destroying much of its innocence.

The music is sung and played with a nonchalance that seems totally unaware that, within a decade, its values would be co-opted by the mainstream. If you're nostalgic for a simpler time, buy this CD.
