Phone works fine most of the times. Some time you will feel its a bit sluggish but not too much. Battery is decent and can last a day with moderate usage. Sound options are limited. Visual voice mail is not supported with most carriers. Some times you will not be able to make a call and you will see call ended immediately after you hit the call button. This could be a deal breaker. Display is ok.

Fingerprint power button made this device better than any Google Pixel since 2017. microSD expansion; fingerprint reader that works, headphone jack...all features i would pay premium for and make this better than Google Pixel. The performance is about the same as my toaster oven but i would gladly trade that for the the working features above. 1/4th the cost of the pixel too. modern phone design sucks.

A budget phone that brings some very needed luxury features. The battery is amazing, the brightness isn't bad, the cameras are horrendous but if you are on a budget this is the best phone you can buy.

This is a great phone for only $300. Replaced a Nord N10, and the N30 is quite a bit better. Great battery life, fast, smooth operation. The camera is okay, but nothing special, and that's as close to a complaint as I can get.

Phone is fantastic for the price. I got mine in green and it's pretty snazzy. Using as a temporary phone, but could easily be a main. Also comes with one of OnePlus's fast (/quick/hyper/warp/etc/whatever) chargers.

A 4 year old phone would be better

After chugging along with a 4 year old Iphone 13 I decided to go with a non flagship android phone and see what the experience was like. Its bad when a 4 year iphone can outperform a new phone, straight out the box. This phone is terrible but first the pros: SD Card slot is nice for expanding the phones memory and side-loading media from my computer. It has a dual sim tray. Its Cheap yet looks nice. The Cons: 1.The fingerprint reader is not very good. I miss the days of back of phone fingerprint scanners. This phone's sensor seems to not recognize fingerprints until you press down on the power button first 75% of the time and then there is a 50/50 chance that the screen will turn on and then off as it recognizes the fingerprint/button press. its extremely laggy. 2. Launching the camera takes a full 2 or 3 seconds and taking a picture almost as long. letting the camera do all the adjustments for you is also a nightmare. If you take a picture and move even a tiny bit your pictures will come out very blurry. I've found that turning on pro mode and making the necessary adjustments to EV, shutter speed, ISO, etc. is better and sometimes faster than letting the software make an attempt at doing it. Id rater have a crisp image that I can clean up than the blurry mess it likes to give me. 3. Lock Screen is broken. I cannot set a wallpaper or get any notifications besides spotify to appear on the lock screen no matter what I've tried. I've looked into this an OnePlus is aware of the issue and will not relase a patch to fix it. 4. Multitasking is a joke. Don't run Android auto, with more than google maps and spotify running. The phone cannot handle it. I was using google maps while listsening to music and everytime I got a message it would make spotify sputter or the phone would force close one of the apps. Nothing like loosing google maps while trying to get somewhere because you got a text. Also while being a passenger don't bother running android auto, maps, sporitify, and doing searches on your browswer the phone will overheat, it will forceclose apps and you wont be able to listen to music. What works better is if you only connect via bluetooth and get turn by turn directions, if you want to stream music and do something else. 5. But the phone lags and stutters on the best of days anyways. Using the browser is an exercise in patience. As I said the camera is laggy to start up. Typing will not always respond for a good 1 o 2 seconds. 6. battery life is not bad and I've found that running the phone in performance mode (to try and deal with the horrible lag) as long as I have good cell service still leaves me with at least 10% battery by the end of the day. After this horrible experience I will never buy another OnePlus device again. Give me an Iphone or Galaxy or even a Motorola phone any day.
