I was not looking for the greatest fidelity. What I was looking for was a receiver that would handle my combinations of Wii, VCR, Chromecast, DVD, CD player. This worked really nice for me, and simple enough for my kids to use. And, it sounds pretty good..

I would like to see banana connectors on all the speakers and an HDMI on the front panel. I got great deal on this on black Friday. I finally gives me the option to ceiling mount my side speakers. Can't wait to get the total system up and running..

Since all the video runs through the reciever, the remote could be a bit more tv user friendly. Tiny buttons, hard to read.

I purchased this for the hdmi input, but was pleasantly surprised by the sound. Easy to set up, and had a microphone to ring out the room to equalize the sound. Good value.

This is our second Onkyo receiver the first one had an output problem after about 5 years of powering a Bose 5.1 system quite a few hours a day 7 days a week. Great sound love the pass through feature for when you don't need the surround on like when the kids go to bed.

The amp had great sound and power, however I didn't have the unique control that I thought I would. The set-up was mostly canned configuration that made it easy, but manually adjusting balance doesn't seem to be available. Also, the selection of speaker zones, A B, etc used switches that are hard to see from the front and and seeing what zone is selected is very small and hard to see. It did have many I/O options that I was looking for.

By all means, this is a good receiver with a lot of inputs, but it did not improve my AM/FM reception. In its defense, for some reason I am having a very difficult time getting radio reception in the front of my house. Even a $1,000 Onkyo receiver did not solve my problem. All other features worked as advertised, and the Bluetooth was great. This would certainly be a great addition to a basic to intermediate home entertainment system.

This piece of equipment is so nice. We put it in our closet to reach all the speakers in the house. We have shown it to our neighbors and friends. Our dog even likes it. Please keep these items available for others to purchase. Thank you very much
