    The Onkyo ES-FC300 are an exceptional value. These headphone are listed as "on-ear" but the ear cups are just shy of being an "over-ear" size. As a result, the headphones are very comfortable for long listening periods. The construction also appears to be good...aluminum cups and high quality materials...but this will be proven with time. The cable is removable and connects to each ear cup with MMCX style connectors (identical to Shure IEM's). The sound is surprisingly good in this price range. Bass appears to be slightly accentuated, but is very clear...never muddy. Mids are not forward or back in the mix...right where they should be. Highs are crisp...no sibilance to my ears. Overall, a solid set of phones with much better than average sound.
