It's been still working for me. Had to replace the Yamaha one unfortunately. Has a couple less features than I'm used to but it does what I need it to do. Speakers I have for it are from 2015 (Klipsch) and still work amazing with the Sony bass. Has Bluetooth and plenty of HDMI slots to hook my game consoles and such.

Very easy set up. Plenty of power for my Polk surround system and the sound is clean. Plenty of hdmi inputs for my use as well. Don’t think it can be beat at or near this price point.

Bought an open box unit, didn’t come with a remote but it was a good value. Easy to set-up and controls seem intuitive. Blue tooth connection to my iPhone was fast.

The house we bought already had the five speakers setup in the home theater room. I bought this because of the good price and reputation of Onkyo. This provides really great sound and has 4K up-scaling. It's pretty much a no-frills receiver. I set the HDMI pass-through for my FIOS cable box so I can watch it without turning on the receiver. I recently bought a Yamaha receiver for my main floor and this has so many features such as MusicCast. If you are looking for a good receiver without many new features, this is a pretty reliable unit.

I’ve seen reviews regarding the price point of this receiver as far as value. I would put it up against many much higher priced receivers. Set up is a bit cumbersome but I think that would be the case with any device of this type. It is very easy to use with the many inputs we have today. The sound is noticeably clearer than my previous receiver. The balance is great and adjustments are easy. The remote is a good size(not too large) and works well. As for the Bluetooth: Great! It is so clear and even. I just love it. I bought this for less than $200 and I would certainly do it again.

Absolutely a great receiver. Has plenty of power to make all speakers sound loud and crisp. Great receiver if you are not looking for every bell and whistle. Great features and easy to use. This is my 3rd receiver of this brand so it provides great value!

I love this receiver. It’s so easy to set up in the menus are simple. It’s perfect on a budget. They skipped I’m putting a lot of though Wi-Fi and streaming items in and just focused on quality of sound which to me is the most important part. I love it and it’s the only receiver ever seen with two subwoofer outs

with a bit of hesitation, purchased this as a replacement for my Panasonic AV receiver. Not disappointed as the sound quality is excellent and the setup was very easy. A nice value for money entry level AV receiver with many decent features.

This is a good all-around amp/receiver. It has more than enough power for most average, to a little above average home 5.1, or 5.2 systems. It works best when playing movies, and music that was recorded in at least 5.1. Stereo, only recorded media playback is spotty: sometimes it will play in 5.1, and sometimes it won't. Poorly-recorded music plays with all its faults apparent, on this home theater receiver. Its main drawbacks are, the sound quality is good to very good. So rarely perfect; and the initial setup, and subsequent setups, are time consuming, and can be problematic. There are setup options that, if you choose certain ones, certain apps will not play, at all. You have no way of knowing which options these are, and so you have to experiment, and see which ones work with every app, and source, and which ones don't. I had to redo the setup about six times.

Solid so far. I didn’t have many options to choose from but also didn’t wanna break the bank or have to buy another lousy sound bar. This thing puts out plenty of power and hasn’t overheated yet. The speaker inputs on the rear are kinda cheesy but get the job done. Hearing a loud clicking sound every hour or so coming from inside the receiver. It’s the same sound it makes when powering on so not sure what that’s about but it hasn’t affected anything. The user interface is lacking but again, gets the job done on a budget. I may upgrade at some point in the future when supply chains are bulging again. For now, this receiver paired with Polk Signature Series speakers is 100x better than my old Sony sound bar setup. Night and day difference in effects and clarity. I’m a big Yamaha and Denon fan but so far this Onkyo has held its own for the money spent

overall a nice system & good sound quality. The bluetooth is a nice option but it is still a IR remote item. wireless remote so it can be enclosed in a entertainment center would be nice.

I hate this thing. Sincerely. Sound bars are so popular because they're so easy. Grab your TV remote and turn it on. And... Sound! That's it. Switch the input to Bluetooth and play your music from your phone. That's what most of us want. This thing is a nightmare. I used to love Onkyo back in the late 90's and early 2000's with a simple CD changer and some good Cerwin Vega's. It was easy. All I want is to power my 2.1 Klipsch bookshelves and sub with the ability to replace the ease of my sound bar. My speakers sound great when I can get it to work with me, but it's a confusing battle every time I grab one of my 3 remotes to get it to act right. I give up. I bought a Yamaha 5.1 receiver to compare it with this side by side because I knew I'd like one more than the other. The Yamaha just works with you and is almost as easy as a sound bar. I'm keeping it. This Onkyo is a worthless piece of junk. Please do yourself a favor and completely disregard this receiver as an option. Get a sound bar if you want simplicity with "good enough sound." Get a different brand receiver if you simply need more and can't live with less than audiophile sound quality.

For a 199.99 price point it has all your basic features. I currently have it with an older surround sound system. Easy setup and enough inputs for my xbox and Wii system. Bluetooth capabilities. If you need just a basic setup this is the receiver you want.

Needed a 4K capable pass through receiver to complete my set-up in my den. This delivered exactly what was needed to fill the room with sound and 4K video. Further savings, was an open box item!

I got this for my daughter and tried to keep it simple. Easy setup, good sound field choices, Dolby Atmos, 4K and Bluetooth capabilities. Sounds good in her mid-sized living room.
