This onkyo receiver is really great for the price, it has plenty of power to accommodate a nice home theater for sure. My only complaint is that it features chromecast and that's almost a joke. It does work, but not well. Might as well be prepared to just use your remote instead of voice control. You almost need to be a sound professional to work the equalizer, but overall I would recommend.

I had purchased the Bose ST300 system for over $1700 and returned to Bose for wireless issues. I replaced it with this, a Klipsch sub and in-ceiling speakers. This is 100x better, a great receiver with Dolby Atmos capability.

I bought the Onkyo TX-NR676 to use with my Sony 55" XBR900F Television. It was on close out at Best Buy. I believe it's much better than the sound bar I was thinking of buying. I already had the speakers in place with a much older Onkyo receiver. It's nice having the receiver turn automatically when plugged into the the HDMI ARC port. The audio volume syncs nicely no matter what is being used at the time, TV, ROKU & PS3. I'm sure I'll enjoy this receiver for years to come.

I needed a receiver to support 4K HDR and this one not only does that, but has a large number of inputs and outputs. All other receivers at this price point has much less. The number of inputs/outputs and even the layout in the back is pretty much identical to a Pioneer that cost 2x as much. I think they are the same hardware but with a different brand name on it.
I looked for quite some time to find the perfect receiver at a reasonable price and this is it. Get it!
The only thing that bugs me is how the HDMI inputs are "hardcoded" with a label. These labels make no sense for my devices. I would have rather seen it labeled more simply like HDMI 1, HDMI 2, etc. So when I look at the remote, it's hard to remember what devices goes to each weird label.

This is not a low budget, beginner surround sound. It rocks. The next step up would be 7.1.4 and when you hear this 7.1.2 you will wish you spent the money to get those other two height speakers. But the sound is still amazing even paired with polks T-series speakers and sub. In ceiling speakers are better than up fire if you can do it. only con is that it sucks to hook up all the speakers with everything cramped so close together in the back of the unit.

Used to own an older model but the receiver game out. Bought this to replace it as the speakers I have are still good. It was direct plug and play with my previous setup and I enjoy the new features i.e. Bluetooth 4K passthrough ect. Sort of pricey if your on a budget but totally worth it in the long run.

This receiver is too powerful and loud of 210 w per Channel. But I'd to return as this receiver isn't THX certified and don't UPSCALE video. Sound of this receiver is good and very loud . I bought Onkyo TX NR 757 which is better than this receiver Onkyo TX NR 676 tho don't have power like 210 W per channels but 757 is thx certified and upscalea videos up to 4K. Greatly satisfied with the purchase of Onkyo tx nr 757.
