A great anime from Studio Ghibli, but my wife hated it. It was too slow and bored her. She usually likes hayao miyazaki works more than I do but since he only produced this it wasn't their best.

I've not watched this DVD. It is purchased as a gift for my grandaughter. I've seen, and been impressed by, other DVDs from this studio so it was purchased because of consistent outstanding productions.

Kid loved the movie. Started watching with them and will say this was not the type of movie I thought I would enjoy.

This movie is great- relaxing, good plot, and characters. The quality was perfect without anything to cause a slight disruption throughout the whole film. We were extremely happy with this movie.

An absolute gem that's sadly been overlooked in the states until now. Easily my favorite of all of Studio Ghibli's fantastic offerings, which is saying a lot. Beautiful GKids slipcover too.

The British accent of the young man messed up the feel of the movie. Otherwise it's almost as fantastic as the original in Japanese.

This movie is all story of how the past meets present, of how people grow up and move around in their lives. Certainly a great simple down to earth movie.

its good but its not the best ghibli movie made. Worth watching though and has its charm.

Studio Ghibli consistently provides excellent movies. I bought this as a gift and I expect nothing less than what has been standard 5-star productions.
