Ooma makes a good product. The only problem was that, I was an existing customer. The account then needed to be transferred to my new phone. It took days but I was initially told by customer service that it would take hours. Spend days trying to set it up. Once transferred, it was easy on the app. Make sure use app and wait a few days after transfer.

Excellent product. Easy to install. Using basic service costing less than $8 a month for a landline substitute.

The cell reception at my house is garbage, but we have great Internet service. This system is very cheap to have each month, plus the phone comes with all of the features you could want.

This works great for us. We’re on Starlink internet and have no issues making/receiving calls. For my county, it’s around $6/mo to use plus 10 more when I do the premium service which I actually like. Fave premium features are: it notifies me if someone at home dials 911. And when calls come in and I’m not home, it rings my cell so I can still get calls when I’m out. Overall great product. No regrets.

Useful for Fax Connection and Secondary Phones

Useful to connect fax machine and as alternate phone service in the event the primary cell phone access is unavailable.
It was easy to configure and start using.
It includes answering machine functionality and 2 cordless phones.
In addition, I have been using the Ooma service for several years and have been mostly pleased. One downside -- I feel the premium (add-on) service is somewhat over-priced.

I was paying for vonage and not using it. Now im paying much less for this and not using it.
Both work great, but a landline is more of a backup plan these days.
Glad i have it.

I have been using Ooma for several months now. I ported my home to ooma with no problems. Call clarity is good and the price can't be beat. My home phone was very expensive around 38.00 a month for local calling only. My ooma bill is 5.36 a month. THis is for the basic service. If I wanted to upgrade to the premium service it would be an additional 10.00 a month.

Ooma has provided excellent service during my first week of use, and I expect this to continue. Online and in- person support have been there when I wanted them. I live in rural northern California in a valley where I can get good internet by not cell service. I have said good-bye to my ATT landline forever!

This was very easy once they are charged to get everything to sync and work. Was able to carry over a phone number fairly easily when looking at a landline, they would not transfer numbers.
They included phones can be a little flakey and not easy for my elderly parents. So recommend just the base unit and purchasing better phones.

Ooma Tello Air 2 Box and Hand Sets

Works as advertised. Wireless connection is reliable and it stays connected. Call quality is good. Hand sets are also good with one exception. It is easy to read until the dial lights up white light for the numbers with white keys. (mine is a white version, not black) Can be very difficult to read then. Black might be a better color choice for that reason.

Price was right on scale. Have been with Ooma over 10 years, replacing my current landline.I needed to replace finally but decided I wanted one of the other versions without the extra phone s. Customer service at Ooma great. Best Buy terrific other than the items were on back order with the sale and then had to be shipped to Home separate say

Got these for my in laws so they could get rid of their current landline provider. Their is some initial up front cost to get the landline ported over but well worth it since they will be saving money in the long run. One of them was so used to their old phones that I ended up setting that phone up along with the 2 included handsets. I have heard no complaints.

Ooma Telo

The Telo wireless was dropping out and taking a long time to come on-line, so I attached a cable and that seemed to help. And don't forget to hit the button on the Telo's machine whenever there is an interruption. We were not getting any calls for about a week and that's when we figured out that their on-line call blocker was blocking a massive amount of phone numbers like our bank, the power company, friends, etc. Apparently, it blocks anything anybody complains about. So, I removed the lists of known and suspected spammers. I do however like the fine tuning I can do with blocking callers by name and number. The Telo has a nice call log to help with that. Now that we can make calls, the call quality is acceptable, but not stellar. We also use our normal analog phones with this device, so we have a lot of handsets throughout the house. That is nice and you sure can't beat the price!

Works Great for my 80+ year old Mom

I purchased this as a landline for when my Mom when her cell phone battery would run out. Also, it is great to have this Ooma line when she asked questions about her cell phone. I am using it for basic service so the cost per month for taxes is less than $10. I bought this for a second line since I could not get to my Mom when she had trouble with her cell phone because her building was locked down for the Covid19. I worked out with the staff to plug it in for me after I programmed it in the parking lot with their Wi-Fi node access. She plugged it in and it worked great. The only thing is if you do not have enough bandwidth on the Wi-Fi, the person with the Ooma will hear you clearly but they may break up a bit on your end due to allocation for download bandwidth trumps the upload bandwidth. Still is a good system to use as a backup to a cell phone.

Not a brick

The Oooma service is OK. They'll try to get you on the premium plan of course, but the basic plan does work. If you do eventually sell the device, be sure to de-register it first, else it will effectively be a brick.
