OOMA was easy to installed and has worked great. Calls are clear and connects to standard telephone. You get your voicemails in your email anywhere you go. You can also use the OOMA app on your phone so the person you are calling thinks you are on your landline phone via caller ID. This makes it great when needing to talk to the power company but do not want to give them you cell phone number

Easy setup, helpful assistance over chat or the phone (chat is better since there is less wait during busy hours.
The equipment is solid, good sound both ways and almost no delay. Was able to send and receive faxes with the additional purchase of the Linx.
It is more expensive than Magic Jack but the quality of service shows.

I purchased the Ooma VOiP phone service to save some money on phone service. It was easy to setup, easy to port my old number and works great. A bonus I didn't expect was the setting to block unwanted autodial phone calls. Much quieter in the house now. Ooma costs more up-front, but will save a lot in the long run.

Great alternative to phone company provided voip service to keep a “land line”. It can be used to connect to existing phone wire in the home so no new phones required. Setup is easy. Premium subscription offers more features.

Very easy setup! Ooma works perfectly. This is my second unit after the first one took an electric surge. The original unit lasted more than 10 years before hit by the electrical surge. Highly recommend OOMA!!

The call quality is excellent and getting rid of monthly phone bills is outstanding. The only challenge is having multiple extensions within the home and I believe they have an add-on for that.

After a trying ordeal with Comcast lying to me about a port (I used to work for Comcast) my ooma made it all worth it. The set up was easy and quick, their website to buy the port over was convenient. I am spending about 5 dollars per month and was able to go down to a double play easily saving myself 30 dollars per month. The call quality is crystal clear! Love love love.

I haven't had a home phone for a while and wanted to get service but without paying a lot. Just paid for my first month and was a total of $3.85. Paying only for taxes. This was easy to setup and just had to create an account via their website. You can keep track of everything on their site or probably an app they have. The built-in voice mail is also nice. At times the audio is a little crackly, but that could either be the OOMA unit or the fact that I use a Panasonic phone and not the OOMA phone. Either way, it is MUCH clearer than cell phones.

Great call quality, very inexpensive (taxes only service) and you can use this for emergency services…. I didn’t know before buying this that most VOIP services you can’t call 911 with… this you can!!! I am buying for rest of family!!
Highly recommend!

Phone tree problem

The device was easy to set up and porting our home number to Ooma went well.
There is a problem though when calling a business and then pressing phone keys to navigate through the numerical prompts. 1 or 2 digits usually work but if several numbers are needed as in entering an account number, it never works. The business will not understand the keys being pressed.
When I went to a website that can test this, it was seeing each key press twice. Apparently this is a DTMF issue.
According to Ooma tech support they are aware of the issue and engineering is working on a fix but they don't know when or if it will be resolved.
If dealing with business phone trees is a feature that you would use the Ooma for, I would hold off on buying one until they can confirm that the problem is fixed.

This is better then Net talk or magic jack. I like the premium package. The price is great and so far i haven't had any bad experiences with Ooma service. If you go with premium you get a ton of features. You will have a monthly fee for taxes and regulatory, but that is very low.

Bought Ooma to reduce land line cost. Worked well, so then got Ooma Lynx for separate FAX line. Am now paying around $14/month for two phone lines (one voice, one dedicated FAX), and both work well (I did have to change speed on my FAX and reduce it down to 9600, although 14.4k also seemed to work). This includes $10/month for Ooma Premier and about $4/monti in taxes. I am not a big land line or FAX user, so the reduced speed did not matter that much to me, but the reduced cost for two phone lines did. Voice quality is very good and I like their website to check account and configure devices. I recommend to give them a try. My Internet provider is Comcast, and it does matter to have a decent Internet speed.
